Fultz
Jackson
Isaac

Those are the top 3 prospects for those who know. This is a deep draft class though. Lonzo is the 4th or 5th best prospect.
This. I got lonzo being the 5th best but he has more hype than any name up there. If the Celtics get the #1 they should take jackson easily, his potential on both sides of the floor is crazy and he hometown reppin :smokin

Other than that every other team that gets the #1 should take fultz, he the clear cut best player in the draft as of today but anything can happen.

I wonder if the Celtics try to package the #1 pick for a high pick next year in a draft full of elite big men prospects or try to turn it into a #1 option on the wing ala Butler or PG.

Like i've said on NT before, I want Lonzo to be good more than I think he'll be good. He's my favorite out of the draft. But he's a huge wildcard in that the space between his floor and ceiling is so massive. I legit think his floor could be ugly if he lands in the wrong situation.

I'm praying that i'm wrong on Lonzo though. For the culture, we need him and Lavar to do well in the league so that they can break even more boundaries once he's established.

But He legit can't dribble man lol like he can't beat his man off the bounce. Athleticism leaves a bit to be desired, the long three's are more of a red flag than them being impressive, he's taken like one midrange jumper the entire year, can only go one way, and we have no idea what kind of PnR player he'll be. Sure there are good things about Lonzo too, but his bad outweigh the good for me.

I'm much higher on Fox than Ball and I don't think there's a question as to who should be taken out of Fultz and Ball.

We were talking about this in the playoff thread today. I think the latter. If they're going to max out IT, then i'd do the latter.

The main thing I take away from the Lonzo/Lavar situation is that they've put in motion an incredible opportunity to disrupt the norm and do something so forward thinking and innovative.

Unfortunately, where this particular situation fails is because of 1) the leadership and 2) the execution - the two most important drivers of a start-up. I really wish Lavar was a bit more level headed, rational, and had a bit more business acumen or someone else making the strategic decisions behind the scenes. He's really botching this.

If they don't max IT they need to move him and trade players for future picks

If you take Fultz it should mean a complete Celts makeover

Ehhh, I don't think Lavar has had a single misstep yet personally. Everything he's done will be revered if Lonzo flourishes in the league.

It's all contingent upon whether or not Lonzo pops. He pops? This is a success. He doesn't? It's a momentary failure. I say momentary because he has two other chances to make this happen.

Hot take:

Lamelo Ball is already solidly better than Lonzo. Just not physically better yet which will come.

Unfortunately, if he fails the first time he really won't get 2 more tries with the same Big Baller Brand, unless he completely rebrands everything.

A software company can experience failure, regroup, then go to market again a couple of times but in this situation? I don't see society being too kind to Lavar's brand if this fails during Lonzo's go at it.

Also, the one affected the most in all of this is Lonzo. You really think it's fair for his pops to risk Lonzo's brand and 1 shot because Lavar has 2 more tries at this? That's foul, b.

Nah, NT swears Fultz can't play off the ball when necessary.

If Boston gets #1 and can't land Butler or Hayward, draft Fultz then worry about the rest later.

I am one who says he is the best fit in the draft because he can play off the ball which I said earlier in the thread, I just feel like with Boston being in a contending mode now that Jackson makes much more sense for them or trying to trade for a star like Jimmy B or PG13

I like Jackson as well, I think they'll be fine with him or Fultz. Both players can come in and contribute right away, don't think it will set them back.

I still hate the Jaylen Brown pick last year, Jamal Murray was the way to go :smh:

Still believe in Jaylen Brown. He can grow into a real solid player.

I like him as a player, but I don't like the fit in Boston with Crowder there.

Honestly, move Crowder then  He's solid but it's not like what he does can't be replicated by Jaylen if he gets the reps/works on it. Plus you get an athletic finisher in the paint to add.
