Lakers thread is pretty split on PG. I don't see what trading what assets they have for him does for the team in the long run, he'll just waste his prime with a team who's best players are 21 and under even if they do keep their best assets. I'd personally rather hope we get this pick and build with whoever is drafted+Ingram and Russell and see how far they can develop the next few years.

It's interesting though. Lots of hype and crap building all around. Do the Lakers take that sort of pick and let the hype sort of build and then fizz out in a 3-4 month time, or are they looking to really build something here? Lavar better be careful with his sons intentions here.
LA could and will use and abuse certain people, only to spit them out when they are deemed useless. It's all about branding and if he wants to be perceived as a quick one and done, or an established player.
aka one or two seasons of all the glory and "fame" and eyes on you.. Or is it really about your son and establishing a career and just grinding like normal players do? I feel that reality show is already happening and we'll enjoy the next 1-3 years. But at what expense?
