****The Everything LaVar Ball Thread****

Man Lavar is the lulz.

Dude said it isn't a woman company
I mean it isn't really...don't know what's the outrage with that. Like we all know Victoria's Secret don't sell to men. There's no problem with what Lonzo is saying in that regard.

Look at the length some of you tools go to defending lavar.
Obviously you haven't been lurking this thread if you think I have been defending Lavar the whole time

you're right I haven't. but there's no defending him in that interview. Dude is out of line.

What exactly was out of line? She was baiting him. Who is she to speak for all women saying "women don't want to wear something that says big baller"?

She's being sexist saying women can't be big ballers?

See... what she was doing was pretty ridiculous and her asinine assumptions she previously made were out of line.

Once he came at a white woman you knew this exaggeration and fervor was coming.

I'm saying tho... you really don't see anything out of line with how he carried her? I get that she "disrespected" him but his come back was weak and set his myself up for problems.

He could have just been like "I'm not gonna address you because you disrespected me when I wasn't around." That stay in your lane, something is coming for you, this ain't for woman stuff was OD.

I've already posted my response on that, doesn't change my last statement.

Ehhhh I mean, dude just lacks or doesn't care about situational awareness I guess.
If the networks cut him off then he will lose the free advertising unless he finds another avenue to be scene.

I don't get how people on the outside are commenting on the psychological status of their relationship based on talk show performances.

The way I carry myself around my parents in public is different than it would be in my house, in my kitchen or even at a relatives.

Dudes/Commentators need to fall all the way back talking about that "scared, trembling" ****

I would have gone harder ( albeit more eloquently) than Lavar on ol Fox News sounding girl

Like *****, you don't know me or my son after we leave the studio. Stay in your lane talking about sports news.

But the thing is basketball gear is all unisex to a degree. Woman can sure enough buy BBB stuff. That still was just a dumb statement. Even mothers are a demographic that buy their kids stuff like this.
Basketball gear is traditionally unisex. However, Lavar said he's marketing towards mainly males with his gear. There's nothing wrong with that.
For example, traditionally restaurants are marketed to both men and women. However, Hooters is marketed towards men. You don't see women complaining about that.

On the other hand though, it will probably hurt Lavar's bottom line that he's not aiming his products at women also, but so be it, that's his own choice.

I'm highly convinced 95% of NT is severely lacking in professional soft skills and business acumen, hence the support for Lavar in this situation

I don't think anyone who frowns upon his behavior actually thinks his message is wrong. In fact, he had every right to disregard her opinion and put her on front street.

Where he continues to F up tho is his delivery and irrational behavior in the wrong setting. There are multiple ways he could have gotten at her without coming off ratchet and disrespectful, especially when you're peddling an upstart, grassroots brand and business venture. Not to mention, he was on their show

Guy needs some serious PR training and an advisor, otherwise, he's going to continue shooting himself in the foot with his mouth and ruin a potentially good thing.

Yeah it would be best for Uncle Lavar to get a PR spokesman tbh

But you know what, he still didn't tell a goddamn lie today.

Absolutely sickening that she had the white damsel in distress gun locked in loaded before he even came into the interview. Shorty tried her best to bait him into saying something extremely PR damaging but he didn't. This wasn't enough for Lavar to lose his core following but it definitely made it harder for him to crossover completely

Agreed except for the second sentence, there are folks out there and in this thread that clearly harbor irrational feelings in regards to anything Lavar.

Kristine knew what she was doing with those bait questions. This was nothing more than a ratings ploy. These shows get awful ratings. Why you think they keep inviting Lavar? I'm sure he'll go back on there after he does First Take and Undisputed.

I think most that don't like Lavar including myself, don't like him because of the damage he's doing to Lonzo's brand. Also Lonzo's going to be portrayed to his NBA teammates and opponents as the quiet shy kid, hiding behind his dad.

Like Lavar said stay in your lane.

Thankfully for Hooters, there are more pervs out there than there are BBB fans. Although my local Hooters stays having families in their restaurant. It's really not as raunchy as it sounds. It's pretty much a restaurant. Also Hooters been around since 1983. Lavar Ball is depriving him of potential customers even if he isn't marketing towards them. In general, he's just not being smart about his business.

I only problem with the way LaVar handled ole girl is that he could of taken her head off verbally in a better way. She deserved the disrespect coming her way. She made some scumbag comments

Her only comeback was to play victim and reach for the hyperbole if challenged.

He should have put her disrespect on front street first, make her have to defend her nonsense. If she comes with the disrespect, you have the green light to be extra dismissive.

If she starts getting mealy-mouthed, you tell her straight up you have a obvious bias. So much that you spew ignorance about my son, myself, and my family, no one should take anything you say regarding those subject seriously anymore because you have proven that you can't reason properly. And it is shame that a organization like ESPN allows its anchors to attempt to slander someone they don't know like that.

If she reaches for the women stuff and the threats stuff, you refocus to say his comments only extend to her.

LaVar let her off too easy with the way he came at her.

I think Lonzo's going to have the hardest NBA rookie season, in terms of player's "checking" & "trying" him, since LeBron's rookie season.

Lonzo will be fine, he's seen as a once in a generation talent with the rare ability of making his teammates better, he'll build his brand on the court. Lavar isn't suiting up, learn some objectivity.

had a funny exchange with a dude I know on facebook over this . So he's an extreme right-winger. I'm talking Trump ride or die supporter, make murica great, dey derk der jobs, grab em by the ***** is okay to me , get over it butter cup, slavery ended a long time ago get over it snowflake, type dude right. So i see he posted an article about this lavar spat, and he adds to his post that he hopes Lavars company flops blah blah blah, he needs to not be rude or disrepectful blah blah. So all I post was "You sound offended." Dude reply's with some more holier than thou bull, then I compare Lavar to Trump with the "disrespecting" women angle and he hits me with "you have you opinion and I have mine." then lights up my DM's

Note to self: Black man appearing to disrespect the blonde anglo lady will trigger some folks

Like I said, that's his own business. If it were me, I would be things a lot more differently and be more PR friendly. However, I'm just going to chalk up to what happened today as Lavar being Lavar.

He's def hurting his brand OFF the court.... where star player's make 75% of their income

Lonzo any time can sign with a brand instead of sticking around with pops
He will be fine.

Nothing to portray.. Lonzo is hiding behind his dad to fight his battles. Notice they don't invite Lonzo to these interviews... it's always Lavar! He's the star, yet the attention is on his dad? How embarrassing is that? I mean yeah he's only 19 but I can only imagine the roasting he will receive by being called daddy's little boy.... did you get daddy's permission? Did daddy say it's ok? This can't be real life for a future draft lottery pick!
