Bruh.. I lasted 15 minutes into the first episode.. I can't be the only one.. I haven't read a single post in this thread yet. Am I alone?

I'm sure you're not alone but it seems the NT general consensus is positive.

Personally I didn't find the shows as good as his older stuff but I still really enjoyed them.

the writing is better than the delivery.

but if you didn't like it from there, then you don't like it.

I havent watched the second one yet but the first one was dope, had my eyes glued to the screen. Same chappelle, if not maybe better imo

No, you're bugging hard.

These 2 specials aren't even close to his older material, stop it.

Slim Dave > Buff Dave

I watched the 1st Netflix special a second time and For What It's Worth right after, and it honestly is the same Dave Chappelle

same delivery style with his sarcastic, smart mouth self. Only difference is youre not seeing him dressed up for his clips for his show
Yeah only difference I see from then and now is he just doesn't seem as hyper and energetic.

People get stuck in the past too much. Killing Them Softly will forever be the GOAT Chappelle special b/c that was sort of his mainstream coming out party as far as stand-up goes.

But these new joints are classic Dave. They'll never give you the same feelings that those older shows did, but he's still absolutely hilarious.

I also think a lot of the younger folks on here equate him to his show, and his stand-up isn't ever going to be that.

I think everyone equates him to his show. I was 11 when it came out and tuned in every week. But I also have watches Killing Them Softly at least ten times. For What Its Worth is dope too. I'm always dying at the subway joke, Mickey Mouse one and the Indian story

cause homie legit dont give AF

Idk why for some reason i feel like his passion for comedy and making ppl laugh died off. Sure hell go out there and crack his jokes but hes just like "eh"...like dude is heartless to it now lol

Body is SOOOOOOO ready for the second one.

Aiming to watch both this weekend.

I listened to Killin' Them Softly & FWIW at work yesterday and was cracking up at my desk  haven't heard either in a long while.

Hollywood show >>>>Austin show.
Hollywood show was legit hilarious. Austin show had it's moments but was boring at times.
