Admitting when you're wrong / don't know what you're talking about

Do you?

I feel like admittance is the ultimate sign of maturity and self awareness.

It was tough for me at first but I've gotten better.

This is why we live in a world of slaves and slave masters. The inability for people to admit they've been duped.

How is being the bigger person highly overrated???

Being the "bigger person" often just lets other people off the hook, enabling them to continue making mistakes that they don't see any faults in.

:smokin

THIS.

my ops manager and i been at it for months, but hes in the wrong.

ive thought about being the bigger man plenty of times and sqaushing it; but the way he goes about his business day to day, i refuse to let him have this one.

It usually never happens because I don't get involved with **** I'm not knowledgeable about. I'm not one of those people who has an opinion about everything. I seek out experts and formulate my opinions off that. But yeah... if I'm wrong it's no sweat off my back.

The media is trying to keep a black father down.

What expert opinion helped you formulate this ?

American History.

Admitting you're wrong has to be one of the hardest things ever.

I'm getting better at it.

I typically have no issue admitting that I'm wrong.

I don't speak on anything unless I know what I'm talking about.

Either way, I'm more than happy to admit when I'm wrong.

The biggest lesson I've learned in life: Be careful what you say because you can't take it back.

All of the above. I'll readily admit I'm wrong when I am.

I'm more interested in gaining knowledge than being right or feeling like I know everything.

Im always wrong. I was wrong about that. N that. N prolly this [emoji]128129[/emoji]

Never admit you are wrong. It's much easier to just pick up and move to another city/country and start over.

In real life, I'm usually too stubborn to admit I'm wrong unless it's pointed out and so obvious.

I notice a lot of nt'ers refuse to ever admit they're wrong. Someone will prove they're wrong and their response is to type "oh" and then move on to a new topic.

This post reminded me of a TED talk I watched a few weeks ago. It was one of the daughters of that church that protests against gays. She left and was describing how/why she left. It was pretty inspirational. I would post it, but I don't know how to post YouTube links on NT lol. If you have the time to search it on YouTube I would highly recommend it.

That's the link.

its all ego either way...i dont even try to predict the outcomes of situations where right and wrong are the only options...usually best to just be, and enjoy the moment for what it is, either a great upside that you enjoy personally or a learning experience.

I had difficulty admitting my wrongs as a child. I tried to rationalize with myself to justify any situation to make myself seem right. I feel awful and reflect on it almost every day now. Now at 27, I try to and i learned to listen, be more accepting, admit my wrongs, and express empathy. I hope l am on the right path.

I feel like I'm very self aware and quick to take a correction in a mature and humble manner. But damn if life ain't filled with mutha*****s who don't back down on **** and wallow in ignorance becuase that's all they know.

We all love being right but being wise enough to continue to learn feels a million times better.
