Damn CIA, you scary. Vol. Vault 7 leak.

Crazy leaks but we all knew the Feds been doing this.

I remember reading Dan Brown's Digital Fortress back in the day and even though it was fiction, it gave me an insight on just how powerful the NSA's data collection process is including the power of coding/cryptology. There are so many digital codes embedded on cell phones, or any networking equipment and I wouldn't doubt it that the NSA's super computers can easily decrypt em and spy on us willingly.

Anyone surprised by the contents of this leak just doesn't realize how far ahead the government is in matters of tech research. The concept of the internet was developed in the 70s and only became mainstream in the 90s.

It is a little shortsighted to expect the government not to use it to gather intelligence, especially after facebook demonstrated how willing people can be when it comes to sharing info about themselves. Our desire to streamline and simplify our lives is making the work of the IC easy. Might be a good idea to go back to dumb GPS devices, TV, and cars instead google maps, smart TVs, and OnStar.

I called YOUR Jacob costume jewelry pa. There is a difference. And I mocked how you were able to afford it

Also, I have already said I am not into cars, but I will be more than happy to say you drive a hooptie in the car thread if you would like.

And Edwin, lets us be serious, on numerous occasion I have had to correct basic math mistake you made, basic economics, basic statistics, point out articles you posted actually argued against you point and people have even corrected you on basic time telling (not knowing how long is a decade, or how long two weeks are). Your intellectual resume on NT is not that strongest pa.

Don't put your faith in another right wing troll. How many times have you became buddies with one only for them to be banned for bigotry down the line. Huh? This new troll just gonna break your heart like all the others b. I'm just looking out for you pa

go cop that at ricky's .

It is funny. Just like the election result, you self worth seems tied to these little trinkets.

That even someone doubting their authenticity sends you up the wall.

Don't worry Ninja, I was just poking you, I know you chain is real. The real joke is how you were able to afford it, and that you're so proud of it.

So it is pointless for me to try to discredit the authenticity, as it kills the real punchline.

If we engaging in Wavy Daddy slander though, I think me an Ninja can find common ground on that issue.

Nothing new. I follow info sec news via Security Now podcast, forums, etc and the US government has been doing this for quite some time. You should assume that any and everything you do is being watched and/or recorded.

There have even been cases of hardware like routers and IP devices being intercepted and bugged with hardware before it makes it to store shelves.

Many of these router company have "accidental" exploits all over the place.

Just don't do anything you don't want to be exposed. There is no such thing as privacy anymore and there's no turning back.

Unless you want to go live in the bush.

i hope they leak some gift cards next

Naw, this is the mentality they hoping for out here.

I remember when Snowden came out, and it was revelatory for me, , and a lot of my friends had a similar reaction. Who cares? I have nothing to hide?

We vote for the government we get.

I don't find this surprising. I have some contacts who can remotely turn people's laptop mic or camera on and off and they're like 20 years old. So it doesn't surprise me whatsoever that government hackers can do a whole lot more than that.

If the government wants to spy on you and access your private information they're gonna have a way to do it, period.

Is it ok? Absolutely not but they'll just replace a controversial program with another secret program that essentially does the same thing, rinse and repeat.
