adidas Continues to Dominate the Market Vol. nike hold this kevin hart

I've been a Nike guy for 20+ years, but I'll admit, the boost tech is legit, looks great, and I've bought number UB and NMDs since then. Curious about the Zoom X tech though. But Nike isn't really doing much for me at the moment aside from a few Jordan retros in OG colorways and the new SF AF1s.

Roshes were not comfortable. They were just cheap and light weight with a nice silhouette.

There's no new technology in the Lunarepic. It's just a lunarlon sole with a Flyknit upper.

I had roshes on. Walked into an adidas store. Had one ultraboost on one foot, Roshe on the other. Adidas employee asked me if that was the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. I said they feel the exact same. Employee had sad face, I hit him with the Jordan shrug and saved $180.

I always find it funny when people quote how great boost technology is and mention they got into it because of UBs. UBs weren't even the first Adidas to utilize boost -energy boost came out at least a year or more before UBs. Yet no one cared for them. Adidas at the time really thought the blade technology would take off. I remember telling a friend from campus after I got my energy boost that they really had mastered what nike was trying to do with lunar.

Had Kanye never worn them UBs, the UB craze would have been extremely different. Far too many sheep in this nike vs Adidas conversation; Just waiting for the next fad to ride.

Adidas fanboys are the worst of the worst

They do everything they can to make a life long Adidas supporter hate Adidas

if Kanye left for Puma tomorrow they would have every Yeezy, NMD and UB on eBay and they would take off from work so they had time to do it

ZoomX
Lunarepic
Hyperadapt
Tech Knit fabric

All post-Flyknit technologies.

Adidas started to really pop off in the US just a year or 2 ago, which was also around the same time 3 of Nike's top designers made the move over there.

They didn't have a hand in the development of primeknit or the ultra boost.

Gotta remember that NIke stalled the release of primeknit in the US throughout 2012 thanks to a lawsuit they ultimately lost (can't trademark a weaving technique). Both companies dropped the material weeks apart around the Olympic Games and adidas could only release primeknit shoes in Europe.

This too. I remember how foot locker had trouble selling energy boosts. Every store had them priced down to $50 and they were still there weeks later.

:frown: that feeling when your lunar racers lunar bottom out, your zoom bag pops in your KD 9, your flynit rips around the lacing system in your air maxes within a year then you see your friend 5 year old ultra boosts still have Primeknit intact and cushion feels like day one :x and you realize what quality should be like but you talked so much crap about other brands you got to ride For Nike at all cost to save face :nerd:

All adidas has done is rip off Nike's older designs. UB's, Yeezy 350's, NMD are nothing but Prestos, Roshes, and Roshe 2's.

It's just a "going against the grain, I wanna be stylish what's Kanye wearing" mentality. I have no problems because like many stated earlier, I'm getting some of my most coveted Nike's with no hassle now. You got dudes who actually rocked with adidas before all this hype too who have to look like they just got on the wagon. All white Air Force 1's, Infra Air Max 90's and Black Cement Air Jordan 3's will forever keep Adidas at second place

The truth slow burns your soul huh? I'm sure all that happened and those 5 year old Ultra Boosts you had 3 years before they released?

Adidas killed it this year for shoes, but Nike stays dominating the apparel game.

this might be true in the recent past, but adidas hasn't been that far behind, if at all, in apparel sales, where the average sale price is lower and overall margins probably aren't that great as opposed to in footwear where they had been, and are still, falling behind...just the way the article was titled kinda obfuscates the truth, doesn't give any understanding, and has directed the discussion here in a different way than a more accurate title about them significantly increasing/tripling their market share over the past couple years...

Well how are you going to compare how well their basketball divisions are doing? Just based off sales or if they are releasing good performing sneakers?

I would imagine nike wins in both those categories

Sales definitely
Performance could be closer i guess

Nike apparel is still a lot better. Those trash Adidas ZNE hoodies went straight to clearance

Adidas is a good brand.
Nike is a good brand.

I wish adidas would retro the Antwan Walkers and the kobes Kobe wore during his rookie year.
