Friday the 13th: The Game is a third-person horror, survival game where players take on the role of a teen counselor, or for the first time ever, Jason Voorhees. You and six other unlucky souls will do everything possible to escape and survive while the most well-known killer in the world tracks you down and brutally slaughters you. Every aspect of Friday the 13th: The Game is drawn straight from movies you know and love. We’ve carefully crafted this world to remind you of everything you remember about Friday the 13th, right down to the visual fidelity of the 80’s. This is exactly how you remember it.

Have you ever wondered what Jason Voorhees would actually look like after he came crawling back from the fiery depths of Hell to continue wreaking havoc at Camp Crystal Lake? Luckily for us, we have a great interpretation of what that might look like thanks to an exclusive DLC skin for Friday the 13th: The Game designed by special effects artist Tom Savini.

In the 9th Friday the 13th installment, Jason Goes to Hell, our masked serial killer looks fairly normal…for him. The hockey mask has melted directly onto his face, becoming fused with his skin. It’s a bloody, inflamed mess around the area where the mask cuts into the skin but he more or less looks the same. In the movie, the rest of his body remains char free, and he still sports a healthy looking glow. However, the images released by Gun Media of their interpretation of Jason escaping from Hell takes the concept of being burned alive and pushes it to the extremes. He looks way worse for the wear, and much more terrifying.

The game developers just shared bio cards for all the characters, which reveal names and stats like “strength,” “intelligence,” and “speed.” Needless to say, intelligence isn’t their strong suit.

Meet all the new counselors below!

Gun Media and developer Illfonic’s “Friday the 13th: The Game”, initially announced as “Slasher Vol. 1: Summer Camp”, was funded through Kickstarter back in 2015.

The game’s full multiplayer component will become available in early-mid 2017 and include Tommy Jarvis as a playable character. Movie setting Packanack Lodge will also be included in this release as a third playable map. This initial release will be followed by the full Summer 2017 release of the single-player component, including AI Bots.

Players who pre-order the game in digital or physical form will receive the single player component at no additional charge.

Kinda looks as boring as the og nes game but with better graphics. Lots of wandering around.

You couldn't play as Jason in the NES game.

No zombies you have to throw rocks at, no collecting lighters, no cabin fires you have to start.

This is a million times better than that garbage game.

How will the intelligence rating of the camp counselors work WHEN they are controlled by a user? [emoji]129300[/emoji]
