Is not giving a tip bad

i asked when everyone was done eating and drinking... i could have just waited for the bill but asked for it towards the end of the night..and i was done with my meal and wasnt going to order more so i wanted to pay... i wasnt rushing anyone really... she didnt bring out my bill initially until 15 minutes later and brought mines and my friends bill at the same time... i did want to get home because it was snowing badly by me and i didnt want it to get worse while i was driving... but i left when friends wanted to leave

Next time just wait it out man, unless you want to bounce and they want to stay....if ya leaving together, just let things play their course, the bill will be itemized, your boys ain't gonna force you to pay for them, just see what you consumed and put that on your card....end of the day you came out feeling embarrassed because of an idiot waitress.

Should it really matter when he asked?
Not really, but the way I read the story is like they were eating, OP says I want my check separate, they're still eating, and he says AGAIN I want my check separate.....Is it wrong? No but come on, you see it's a little goofy. Either way according to the story the waitress was wildin, but I'm just saying the normal procedure of waiting for the bill then split could have prevented this.

Man, waitress was od disrespectful for no reason .

If it was me, I would've had my homegirl lay her *** out at the end of her shift.

Most def would've ran them pockets as well.

Bruh, you ain't gotta explain yourself. You're not the one who did anything wrong or outlandish. Doesn't matter when you asked for a separate check, you had your reasons, and the waitress needed to respect that WITHOUT the side comments.

Def did nothing wrong. Does not matter what you ordered, and how much it cost. The waitress job is to take your order, serve your order, and give you your bill. Sign up to service customers. Thats all they should be doing. I know damn well I would not tip, and I always tip unless the server does some outlandish ****.

I've never been in a situation where I neglected to tip, but if the service was bad I wasn't generous. I realize waiters/waitresses are there on a low-salary, tip incentive gig, but they have to do their part for me/patrons in general to be willing to part with a few extra bucks their way.

I always tip. even if they didnt do much. I hate altercations or making anyone feel bad, so I've just subconsciously known that tip would be added to the bill every time i order and trying to calculate how much a bill would be. I know its not a rule or necessary but still, no "out of the ordinary" = no friction/animosity.

I would probably tip less if they were extremely bad and its their fault/crappy human being, but that hasnt really happened much.

I tip 15%. And round up if cash. I'm in Quebec so its already like 15% tax. so (total + 15%) then + 15% of that. Some people don't do the 15% on top, but I just do it cause whatever, and the 15% button on the card machines do it for you.

Oh yea, that reminds me...yall need card machines. Went to vegas couple months ago and yall still using papers and pens and ****. Making me do math and ****. No thanks jeff.

Read a supplemental paper in class about race and tipping and it basically said black folks are generally not as much aware of the 15-20% tip rule so on average they tip less.

Think it's a touchy subject becuase people are sensitive about their money (and other people's perceptions of it)

In B4 this becomes a race thread , a thread against Ksteezy in some sort of way , a thread about how soft OP is..

Ohh...welp...too late

I had to take a "survey class" senior year for business school

I can't post the results due to the race war I would incite; as well as the heavily skewed results proving all my points

Yuengling is def not everywhere. They've expanded but not much, it's still a strong PA based lager. I used to work in hotels and guests would come from Boston just to cop, serious business.

Bartended throughout grad school at a predominantly minority bar.

black people, all people tipped me well.

y'all need to chill w them stereotypes
The racism is always underlying in these topping threads. Somebody new night bring it up but the same names always in the discussion every time.
