They do have red. He said that the shoe is the OG Chicago 2, but MJ painted the red back part blue. The retro looks the same, cept for the dates
So apparently the retros look nothing like the OG's... I dont see a hint of red on em...

I think it would've been cooler to have both dates on the 2 so instead of MJ on the left shoe, pay homage to the Dean E. Smith Center dedication game on 9/6/86 and then keep the second game as is, 6/28/87

There's just SO much more that could've been added. Plastic inserts of MJ rocking the Fastbreak covering the Converse side and then one of him rocking the 2 from the Alumni game. Would've been so sick!

There were 2 alumni games. One was modeled after the AJ 2 coming out next week. The other was an AJ 2 Low in Carolina Blue colors for 6/28/87.

They're called "PE's" for a reason lol. There's very few exclusive releases that have stayed completely true to the actual player specs. I'm convinced that those moves are intentional.

You're right, the box could be 10x better. The boxes Jb made DMP, and Bravo Toro were my favorite. This 13/14 DMP box is flames too

Seen them today. Leather isn't too bad. Pretty soft in some spots.

Finally found the AJ 2 separately. The seller was selling the 2's for $160 with no box, just the dust bag, and paper. I told him I would pay an extra $15 for the box.
So, I got the shoe and box for $175. The box is really well made and presentable.
