Hello everyone.
We found this forum and hope someone can provide us with some answers.
Recently our Uncle passed away and while we were cleaning the house, we found a box of 1985 Air Jordans. They appear to have never been taken out. We have checked on line and discovered they are very collectible. However, since this is part of an estate, we have to sell them for a fair market value. Therefore, we don't know where to start.

I will attempt to attach photos of them I took today.

We appreciate and and all advice from forum members. I hope this is the correct section to post this.View media item 2374512

if that shoe was from 1985,,it would've been CRUMBLED into ASHES now :nerd:

We are so grateful for all the comments, information and condolences we have received  from forum members regarding these.

On the advice of many, we are going to look at all the various avenues mentioned to us on this forum.  Our Uncle would have been happy to know that many enjoyed seeing them. We may end up just keeping them.

There is one label we are wondering about......it appears to be a quality control label of sorts View media item 2395799

(see attached)..??. If so, you would think it would have been removed 'before' sent out for sale or placed in a more inconspicuous area (like inside) . Has another member seen this label before..?. Seems like a strange place to leave a paper control tag.

We have also read, the last two letters represent the factory in South Korea where these were made in. How many factories were there in South Korea..??. Does anyone know which factory was represented by TH (see attached)..?.

There is also a plastic tag holder (don't know the correct name) on one shoe. Some members have asked about a 'hang tag' being present. We assume this is where it would have been attached. .

No idea why it's no longer present

looks like frm 2000-2002,,i remember that time IMO

Thats def an original from 1985.  They are one of the few og jordans that will hold up if kept in right conditions.  That box was never issued with the J1s in the early 2000s.  Thats a priceless pair to me.  @vannike, I would keep em if I were you.  Yeah its easy for me to say bieng a shoe guy.  But those are a once in a life kind of find.  Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Were these shoes remade in 2000-2001 ?. Here is a close up of what is on the box.

I assure you they 1985 originals.  White and natural grey lows were made in 1986.  The closest shoe they made in the early 2000s was the retro 1 midnight navy. 02 has the mid metallic silvers.  Compared to the patent red and white ones.   Please dont question the diamond that you have there.

Contacting Nike is a great idea. My Sister tried to do so and there was no reply back. I think they are more concerned with selling shoes.

Just to clarify.....the shoes are not sold. The individual that expressed interest, just disappeared. So, we are going to look at some of the avenues mentioned to us by forum members.  In the meantime, we will just enjoy them for what they are.

As suggested, we will leave everything as found. It may be best not to take them back out of the box again.

Is there a rush to sell them? If not, wait til Nike comes knocking, if they have interest. (I'd assume so but who knows)

Still in awe of these

Air Jordan 1's have a rubber midsole, they would never crumble. Neural Grey HI's have NEVER retroed either. Please hand over your Niketalk password and screen name and exit the premises.

This...I guarantee Nike would be interested in those...Never seen an OG pair in any colorway, in the condition this pair is...Let alone a colorway that's never seen a retro...
Very cool. Never have seen this pic before.

I still think sean at round 2 would pay the most but who knows...Dude can call celebs with big cash ready 2 cop for a crazy price

vannike vannike

Whats the highest offer youve received??
Offers have been all over. From $1000 to $2300....although, that high offer may have been just a joke as they disappeared.
We are not in any hurry to disppse of them. However, as part of the estate, they will be sold......since none of us want to keep them.
I was hoping another member could tell us more about the (QC) label or the factory in South Korea (TH) that made these.
Does another member have a pair unused like these, even if a different color way with this label ??.

If any member would like to inform these people being mentioned of their excistance, please feel free.
