Now is what french did messed up hell ya, but the napoy thing was the least of the problems from what bro said. Women should be mad about the whole baby gravy guzzling statement more than the nappy statement. I got cousins who are Moroccan and when they get booked is a black male so in my book french is black. Regardless of speaking french and being born in morocco.

Black people aren't a monolithic group. A black from America and the Dominican Republic aren't the same culturally.
 
So let me get this straight. French is African, his mother is Somalian - black skin. Meaning he's black. He's been saying 'N*' his whole career and no one's batted an eye.

He says nappy one time and now the flood gates of criticism open up and that's okay?

Cause he's light skin? I'll be damned. But than we can go full circle and end up saying at the end of the day - he's black.

Someone needs to hold drake to the same standard. Because selective-racism is damn near worst than racism itself.

The argument is wether you can consider both African Americans and Africans as blacks, which some AA have issues with because they can't separate the culture from the source of the identity. And in turn, do no consider some African's as blacks.



The cultural difference is obvious. Unless, we are considering the term "black" as a cultural thing. :lol:

Huh? I think it's more so other blacks not wanting to be identified as AA so they hate being called black. They will identify with their cultural background rather than calling themselves black.

Now let's begin:

1) The concept of the African diaspora mustve never been thought to you.

2) Who was it that created the "one drop rule".....to signify that any mixed person is black. Why do the majority of mixed people in western societies consider themselves black and not white? I'll let you answer that. It's a few lines above.

3) Being Black....includes a wide range of people from all different cultures and continents. Black people are probably the most inclusive people on earth.....and many different nationalities and ethnicities fall into our spectrum.

From The Caribbeans, South Americas, East, West and North Africa, North America, Even the Aboriginals in Australia fall and are welcomed under the black umbrella.

Jamaicans, Ghanaians, Trinidadians, Cubans, Dominicans, Nigerians, Congolese, Egyptians, Sudanese, Ethiopians, Eriteans, Somalians, Brazilians, Liberians, Morrocans, South Africans, Colombians, Arubans, etc etc etc etc etc.....

You can find people in ALL of those nationalities identifying as black....and being accepted as so.

We don't "alienate"....you might need to look in the mirror for that one. That comment you made, and your follow up was wild ignorant.
 
yea i used to go to school with this one girl, hella dark but she swore on her life she was 1/3rd irish even tho she aint know **** about ireland nor where either of her parents irish. Never could understand that.
