I wouldn't change anything for a half. Eat what you normally eat. If anything eat the "real version" of the fastfood you normally eat if you are a fastffood guy. A nice homecooked burger/taco/fish etc will do. Another tip you don't need every water/gator-aid station during a half marathon, dont loose time/waste energy having to going to restroom and/or grabbing unneeded drinks. Good luck

OP I'm gonna need your current body weight and about how many calories and what types of food you usually eat day to day, and also what your training days look like. Do you have an estimate of your current body fat? Have you trained for a half marathon before? Have you ever weighed yourself before and after a running event before? What was the weight change.

Give me this info and I can tell you exactly what and how much foods/fluids to Consume pre, post, and during race day.

Why would you think about what you're going to eat the day before?

I'd probably just get some quick carbs in 1-2 hours before and if possible, bring some energy gels/chewables I could have every couple hours or so.

After the marathon, I would devour whatever I want :smokin

Whatever you've been eating the day before your training runs

I would just eat pasta before my marathons. When I would do training runs under 20 miles I would eat whatever though, and never felt bad or weird.

Ran a 10k once. Both calves cramped up a little over halfway through, but I refused to lose to any of my friends so I kept running anyway. Beat them all, but legit couldn't walk normal again until the next weekend.

I ate like a pig the day before and had a banana before the race. I don't recommend that strategy.
