2017 NT NFL Mock Draft

The Browns (would like to draft) Evan Engram, TE Ole Miss.

Usually in mock drafts it stops at night, knowing ppl are all over the country, but i guess we're not doing that this year

I didn't think of that TBH. 

New rule: You can make picks at anytime, but posters will not be penalized under the "3 hour rule" if their time on the clock is during midnight-10 AM EST.

I don't really care what the rule is, delaying it too much can lead to the draft taking forever

I wa just under the assumption. Whatever the rule ends up being is fine w/ me

Commish of the people was voted on long ago... sure isn't this fella here.

And god dang I'm sorry to the guys who've been in all the mock drafts I've done. This thing would of been over.

Come on fellas, let's get it goin...

No way in hell.. Ross and mccaffrey were easily the top of my board.. got 3 guys clearly above other guys for 43

Really hoping I don't end up with 1 out of those 3.. ross and mccaffrey would have been super easy
 
IRL the Giants cxl'd their meeting with Njoku and he was/is due to meet with the Jets.

Let's see what young nicholas does here in Round 2 for the home team :nerd:

The Chicago Bears select

Jabrill Peppers, S, Michigan

Analysis: The Bears decided to go with QB Mitchell Trubisky with their first pick, while passing on the best SS in the draft in Jamal Adams. They make up for it by grabbing the 2nd best SS prospect in Peppers at 36, as they plan on sticking him to primarily the safety position. With his off-the-charts athleticism, awareness, and open field tackling, defensive coordinator Vic Fangio will make excellent use of Peppers' abilities and versatility; it's no secret he expects quality safety play after what he worked with during his time with the 49ers (Donte Whitner, Dashon Goldson, Eric Reid). Old friend and Michigan coach, Jim Harbaugh, will definitely be in Fangio's ear about Peppers, who will also give the return game a boost it hasn't had since Devin Hester.

With many needs on the roster, the secondary needs as much help as any other position. This move allows Trumaine Johnson to be traded (please lord baby jesus make it happen) and brings in a freakish athlete who's 6'4 224 lbs and ran a 4.4 with a 44 inch vertical. Wade Phillips is salivating after this pick.

Deshone Kizer, QB, Notre Dame

Analysis: With Philip Rivers at the ripe old age of 35 it is now time to start looking for and grooming his eventual replacement. Deshone Kizer, at 6'4'', 230 pounds, has NFL ready size as well as elite arm strength. He is also exceptionally mobile and more than capable as an occasional ball carrier through zone-read plays as evidenced by his 18 Rushing TD's in 25 games. With a couple of years learning NFL nuances and developing under Rivers, Kizer should be ready to step in as the Chargers starter once Rivers hangs it up for good, likely when the Chargers move into their shiny new digs in Inglewood, CA.
 
^ good pick....i like kizer, and the bears have been linked pretty closely to him this past month

i really think that the bears are gonna go quarterback and safety with their first two picks, just not sure which order. in your opinion, what would you guys rather have?


  • mitchell trubisky at 3 & jabrill peppers at 36 (like i mocked here)
or
  • jamal adams at 3 & deshone kizer at 36

assuming the players are available to them at those positions
 
The Jets select Zach Cunningham, LB from Vanderbilt

Wanted to go OL here but decided to go with Davis Harris' replacement. Him & Darron Lee should be able to hold down the LB position for the forseeable future.
