No United airlines thread ? VOL....Delta won

The thing that makes me mad is no one is standing up and saying anything. Just whip out there phone and tape. Dude in the orange shirt in front of him was damn near smirkin the whole time

Up the money they were gonna give.

Its an airline they have money.

Eventually someone woulda taken it.

Man his criminal history HAS NOTHING TO DO with the matter at hand. Zilch. Zero. Nada.

Y'all need to stop falling for that silly media trick of making the victim the villain because of his past.

It's stupid.

I can't be the only person who chuckled at dude's high-pitched scream, right?
laugh.gif

Definitely wasn't expecting that.

On a serious note though, I can't wait to see how much buddy gets paid.  No need for that type of treatment over a damn seat.

So your gonna fight air marshals for what?

Y'all need to really think about what was going on.

Agree, heard there was a cap.

I ain't about to be disrespected like that but man I wish that was me for real. That's easy lawsuit money right there.

How do they even decide

They do the neegan thing or something

After no one accepted the deal, they did it randomly by computer l think.
Whatever it is, it's certainly not dragging a paying passenger off the plane bloodied.

He was resisting

They didn't beat him........ l don't think.

Again how do you remove a man who doesn't want to be moved if not by force?

Why remove him? obviously his arrival to his destination was urgent. Up the price? offer it to another passenger? book flights for the crew with a competitor? get the crew a car rental? bus/shuttle? This wasn't a criminal act and shouldn't be treated as such. No justifiable reason for this and you wouldn't be singing the same tune if this was you or a family member.

I think this was the best solution, I think I read that they could have offered up to $2k so why not do that, they only offered up to $800? Plus it's like airline credit? Make it cash and people would probably volunteer.

I am not entirely sure if it was possible, chances are it is, but they also should have done it before boarding the plane so they wouldn't have had to drag anyone out of their seats. It seems like the employees were last minute additions because if they had known before boaridng or as they were boarding, why couldn't they just stop the last 4 passengers boarding and tell them they cheked in late and offered the money incentive?

It just seems like the whole thing was handled badly from the get go.

Not saying this justifies the actions but tmz strikes again lol

Dr David Dao was charged in 2005 with 98 felony drug counts for illegally prescribing and trafficking painkillers. Prosecutors claimed Dao fraudulently filled prescriptions for hydocodone, Oxycontin and Percocet.

Dr. Dao was also convicted on 6 felony counts of obtaining drugs by fraud and deceit and in 2005 was given 5 years probation.

Dao was also convicted for writing prescriptions and checks to a patient in exchange for sex.

Well damn :wow:

Doctor dragged off United flight was felon who traded prescription drugs for secret gay sex with patient half his age and took them himself - and he needed anger management, was 'not forthright' and had control issues, psychiatrist found

what a plot twist

They keep blank checks at the tix counter. That 2k should have been offered. Now they bout to pay mills.

Agree 100000%

Seems like a serious policy issue.

But if the employees were following policy, l just don't know what else they could done.

what a plot twist

Explain how this is a plot twist, the plot being man dragged off plane. How this history is relevant?

Guy said he is a MD and had to see patients at his destination, that's why he refused to get off...

Bribe him or other passengers with more $, offer enough cash and people with time/not in a rush will take it.

Guy is 69 years old, a grandpa.. bloodied and dragged off the plane

You kind of expected this to happen, digging up the man's history in order to justify this...

United probably didn't tell the 3 passengers who complied that the $800 was in vouchers... Lmao. Prolly put them in the worst hotel too.

if that computer picked an old lady....or a handicapped person.....and THEY refused like ol boy....they woulda handled that differently and THATS how this shoulda been handled.

What were they supposed to do?

They asked him to vacate the seat multiple times.

l understand that over booking is the problem but it's here.

You ask some one to leave and they don't you just let the plane sit until he decides it's time or wait until another passenger breaks?

Serious question.

De-escalation training and techniques which usually takes time and communication.

Maybe request the staff to first remove all the people boarded prior to forcing him physically off so there won't be any witnesses especially with cellphone videos. At that point, request for an interpreter that can communicate with this man in his own language.

Use of FORCE should be the last resort

plus...

The airline said it then followed US Department of Transportation protocol in calling local law enforcement to forcibly remove the man from the plane after he refused to disembark.

The Chicago Department of Aviation said in a statement that the incident "was not in accordance with our standard operating procedure and the actions of the aviation security officer are obviously not condoned by the department."

Yeah I read that officer is already suspended, so he definitely didn't follow protocol.
