2017 NBA Playoffs Thread - CLE @ BOS Game 5 on TNT

Billy Donovan is beginning to rub me the wrong way.

He's missing the basics.

All week I've been on about his roster being to long for Playoffs.
All week I've been on about him missing rotations and leaving Taj at 20mpg or less in all but one game, in which Taj played 30+ and OKC won.

I agreed with him when he said Kanter shouldn't, couldn't rather, play...but as I, me, a measly fan not some Seasoned Coach, rewatch tonight's game, I can clearly see when and where and how Kanter can and should be used, and in a way that allows OKC's bench to flourish, and to flourish with Kanter as Russ sits.

All week I've been on about OKC needing to make these adjustments and to slow play when the bench comes in and not run it like they do when Russ is on the floor (you know, slow enough to extend possessions instead of allowing 10+pt runs in a matter of seconds)

I won't even bring up the Roberson and FT situation that he bathed in, because the most basic of fan can see that was a mistake but....

I must say, he's got some serious making up to do if he's going to win me back.
Dude is on his deathbed in House Love...blee that.

all i know is he has too much mouth spit. like diddy. son juicy moufdid. dudes teeth just be splooshing around whenever he talks like he has a mouth full of mints.

Deron Williams has been playing so well lately. Those pick and rolls between him and LeBron are deadly. Watching them makes me wonder why Kyrie can't run those? It's basketball 101.

Damn Russ won't let his teammates shoot, dribble, talk or do nothing . It really was a legit question. I bet Donovan tries to make adjustments and Russ be like 'don't split us up!'

Houston in 5

Kyrie lives and dies by 1 on 1 basketball

his game wont age well. can't really see him having a long career.

why

smaller, not the most athletic. built on quickness and handle deception and mobility. been kind of injury prone. and his game, especially as a pg, really doesnt have that much depth outside of crossovers and scoring. i mean there was a point he was fighting for possessions with dion waiters lol. just doesnt seem like he'll have the longevity of say a joe johnson or pierce. unless he transforms into a jason terry type dude. spot up shooter as he gets older. at 6'3, that iso **** looks awful when you get old.

Jamal Crawford is still out here playing though. Plus Kyries an elite jump shooter.

jamal also 6'5 with small injury history.

kyrie 23 and already has a plate and nails in his knee

Fair point. I always have faith in elite jump shooters sticking around though, word to Mike Miller.

Same. Thats why i mentioned jason terry. About the same size and everything. Kyrie could be a lethal spot up guy as he gets older.

LeBron averaged 32/9/9 this round.

If he got 1 more rebound & assist per game maybe we'd be talking about it.

Trash Post

Over a 4 game sweep that means he was 4 rebounds and 4 assists short of averaging a triple double which is what you were alluding too

Over a 82 game season that's 82 rebounds and 82 assists short. You can't just round up to 10 here.

I know you folks understand basic math.

All true and it's not like folks haven't been talking about Lebron going off ,he had one of the greatest performances I've seen in the playoffs game 3. PG just got a lot of the attention for constantly throwing his teammates under the bus that whole series . Gotta love this new angle folks are taking to discredit Russ though  :rolleyes,it's creative

Quite hilarious that OKC is about to get put out in 5 against a team led by a player that they drafted & thrived during his OKC time.

Stupid *** ownership thought he was just a bench player

Can't wait for the eventual 30 for 30 on this

Should be a 60 minute hit piece on Clay Bennett & the other owners. Just trash them the whole time.

You absolutely go into the tax for those 4 guys. If you get 1 title it was worth it.

dudes low balled Harden and chose Ibaka over him  . Tried to have Harden sign that contract last minute like he was just a bench player :x :smh:

Glad my dude didnt get finessed...came right to the Rockets and showed out that he was the franchise that whole 1st week :pimp:

If Harden hadnt **** the bed that Miami finals things would be a lot different though :nerd:
