CP0 going from being one of the most ball dominant guards in history to an offense predicated on ball movement, seems like a match made in hell. Do it R.C.!

The Spurs are no longer moving the ball like that with the exception of like two lineups. He wouldn't get to pound the ball into the ground like he usually does but this wouldn't be an everyone touches it collective either.

That's because Kawhi has turned into an exceptional iso player, CP0 would take the ball out of his hands more. I mean they have been moving the ball pretty close to on par to the last 5 seasons. Averaging about 23 assists a game this season.

Should be easy for the spurs to sign CPCheeks. All they gotta do is swindle Pau and Lee into opting out of their last big payday and sign for peanuts, move LMA to the suns for 2nd round picks without taking back any salary and voila. Nothing to it

Cap issues aside, do you want him?

“I did pretty much everything that MJ did when I was a kid,” James said. “I shot fadeaways before I should have. I wore a leg sleeve and folded it down so you saw the red part. I wore black and red shoes with white socks. I wore short shorts so you could see my undershorts underneath. I didn’t go bald like Mike, but I’m getting there. … It will be post-career, though. That’s the only thing I didn’t do. But other than that, I did everything Mike did. I even wore a wristband on my forearm. I didn’t do the hoop earring, either. That was Mike. But I did everything Mike did, man.”

Yes, I want a PG period and he wants to come there I'm all for it.

We need a bridge between TP and Dejounte and he could fill that void.

We also need to keep fielding a competitive team and give Kawhi the impression that we can keep being good going into his UFA period. 2018 will be really important for that

LOL What kind of question is this, do you not see the Spurs PG situation?

If it doesn't work out, if doesn't work out, but you gamble on talent like that and figure out the rest later. Dude was at 18/5/10 last year with a TS of 61% but there's even a question of do I want him?

Reminds me of the whole don't pick up KD in favor of HB argument.

Too much cap gymnastics need to happen. Not seeing it.
I don't put nothing past any of these ****** no more it may happen lol I thought LBJ wasn't leaving, then I thought he wasn't leaving again, then I thought KD wasn't leaving, pssshhh you never know lol

Regardless though this is pretty different from those situation with different intricacies. For starters, The Clippers are a perennial 50 win team with some playoff success. It's not like he's leaving the Knicks for the Spurs. And at the end of the day, the Spurs would have to do a lot just to get to a point where they could offer him a max deal, which would still be over 50 Million dollars short of the Clippers offer.

I wouldn't be surprised if it happened, but the head of the PA, who (Along with Lebron) has been clamoring for players to get their money, fighting for raises for older players, fighting for raises in general, for that guy to leave over 50 Million dollars on the table for a team not named the Warriors is farfetched to me. But I thought KD leaving was farfetched so who knows

Chris Paul to the Spurs is such a garbage rumor. Have no idea why it's picked up any steam.

Dude negotiated that old player contract specifically for himself. Less than zero percent chance he does not sign that deal and the clippers are the only team that can give it to him.

It picked up some steam this week because Zach Lowe mentioning that he thinks Chris Paul will look at the Spurs on his Pod with Kevin earlier this week.

But in the same statement Zach alluded how tough and unlikely it was to happen.

Forgive him. These new fans only been following the team a couple years.

I can admit Dubs bandwagon has grown quite a bit with some people who never even watched basketball prior now rocking Warriors gear and flags on their vehicles etc. but imo you can't sit there and claim that I have only been a fan the last "couple years" just because I said no one thought we can land KD. I still stand my statement I honestly did not think he would choose to play for the Warriors and neither did anyone I knew. I was just as shocked as non warrior fans when I heard the news. It's ok tho I know the Warriors hate is real strong and dudes would find any excuse to slander the Warriors or its fan
