'13 Reasons Why' Thread (Original Netflix Series)

Binged it a couple of weeks ago and I really liked it. Friend of mine read the book and said that the book was even more intense.

Woah...

Edit: having a daughter and watching this is kinda hard. Like i keep thinking, " wha could i do to avoid all of this IF it were to happen to her"

Smh
But like her mother said in the beginning, they never saw actual signs.

(Im on ep 3 btw)

Season 2? There isn't going to be another season. This was an adaptation of a book, it's over after episode 13.

Big little lies, that's only 1 season

There's is going be another season or 2 with this.. Certain things they did at the end clearly go towards setting up at least 1 more season with the possibility of doing other things to lead to future stuff with this group and around this incident

Like I said, it's done after episode 13. What part of this was an adaptation of a book don't you understand? They covered and finished the book in 13 episodes.

I HOPE they do a season 2 considering how this ended, but then again I hope it doesnt go any further than that

Read an article where the author of the book said he wants them to see where they take his story since he didn't write more himself

So season 2 is possible

Also finished it last night. Binge watched all of them yesterday

Henzo u still go on here how come u dont tweet anymore

Netflix hasn't, but HBO sure did with GOT.
I don't doubt there will be a season 2 as well. Setup is done greatly.

Anyways was it tony who left the tapes at his pad?

When HBO green lit GOT the show writers met with the George R. R. Martin and discussed the possibility of the show out pacing the books, which we all know has happened now. The show writers were given Martin's ending, but agreed that their rendition of how that ending was reached would differ. With all of that being said that is nothing like 13 reasons why. There isn't a sequel to this book. There isn't an after story that can be told that would have anything to do with the original story. If Netflix decides to proceed, which I highly doubt; it would be pointless.

No after story?
Spoilers

Tyler and then guns
Prosecution of Bryce
Jessica dealing with rape
The white dude taking the money and gun
Alex shooting himself
The whole legal aspect.

I watched an episode and a half. First one was pretty good but overall it was too slow and a bit too sappy for me. I read the spoilers, which was good enough for me.

None of which was addressed in the book, which again the show is based off of.
