From what I was reading, Melo is the one who wanted out. Lala always seemed cool AF to me though. Figured she was a keeper.

nah, La La probably wanted to curb da known permissive side pieces..

Melo effed up wit da Usher move thou :smh:

If Melo7 Tech Partners portfolio companies really do see some exits Melo might as well go thru with the divorce now and take the hit with his net worth lower than later when its higher

Melo didnt have any elders around him to give him the game.LaLa seen the cash grab early. She got him right after he got drafted.Melo didnt get any time to go through all the groupies.Hes about to do what he shouldve been doing through his 20,s in his 30,s.Hes just going to have to pay for the move he just made.Marriage is good for regular everyday people. If you and your woman make the same amount with no kids.Youll be ok if yall ever divorce. If you make double, triple,or way more.Or if your worth 6,7 figures or more.I dont recommend marriage at all.Its nothing but a business deal. That favors the person who has less money.Theyve done studies on it.People who are rich lose a large amount of there wealth through divorce.Imagine if Michael Jordan never got married. He couldve kept 200-300 million of his wealth.Marriage is a come up.For the person who is worth,or makes less money.I dont care what anybody on here says.My thought is.Is that theres no feelings involved. When theres millions involved. When theres millions at risked to be lost.Because of changed feelings.Ive seen cats who had everything. Now there struggling after a divorce.I dont recommend marriage for any young (40 and below) person.Whos a professional athlete.Or makes a large amount of money yearly.I know more divorced people.Than the couples that made it work.Nobody couple is immune from divorce.I dont care how good it looks.

All this talk about Melo and Drose got me thinking about Lebron. He really is that dude. He was the golden since like 12 and he really panned all the way out. So many things could've happen but he's been squeaky.
Y'all just don't know about his other...nvm

Since melo half pordarican and all, he must have resented lala for not likin reggaton and chose up a stripper that has a fond appreciation for it.

Most of the firms key stakes took place around 2013. Usually in the PE/VC world, considering most investments are illiquid, you usually see exits happening around the 5-10 year mark. The sweet spot for most divestitures happens around the 7-year mark. So you have to assume Melo will be caking it big time around 2020. If Lyft takes off (invested $250M Series D) and happens to IPO, there are warrants to be had (Mo' Money).

Melo could very well walk away with 1.2-2.0x his cost basis. That's pretty good in this line of business.

But you do raise a good point right now. Problem is, the alimony and child support will skyrocket after his net worth grows. It's in Melo's best interest to work things out with La La right now and hope there's no baby on the way.

The new baby mama has the most coming her way, should she have a child with him.

at some point you're going to want to have a family i guess.

Like I said learn from Jeter. You can have a family after you have smashed every nice piece in your path. He married a young joint too. Just winning at all levels :pimp:

NT has some high standards for women men tho. LaLa is nice to me but then again my scale is a binary one. I operate on yay or nay not 1-10
