For those that have a SmartKey/Push to start on their car, how does it feel?

really messes with me when i go to open the door and get denied only to realize the keys are not in my pocket.

Research the batteries your keyfob uses and buy a bulk pack from amazon for future replacements. Dealership charges a grip for them. Quite easy to change out just look up on youtube

I remember my boy showing me security footage of his infinity getting stolen in the middle of the night by some hacker with a laptop. **** was wild, I never knew they could do some **** like that. When asked if he regretted the push start he said hell nah and copped another one as soon as the insurance check dropped.

Actually saw this on the news last year. Someone remote locked with their keyfob. The reporter had one of the gadgets thieves use to mimic the signal, opened the door, started the car and drove off. Best to lock your door manually if you are someplace where you could get got. Which is pretty much everywhere but home.

If a theft wants your car, they'll get your car. Simple as that! Remote or no remote, key or no key.

Never forget my mans woke up in night and heard his car getting stolen. He said "let them take it his *** ain't gonna get far". Car stopped halfway around the block and the theif ran .

Ain't have the key fob

Lmao @ let them take it

Only downside is the cost for a lost or broken smart key. My car ain't even all that and it cost 300.

The higher end luxury joints I heard cost 1000+

I have a Infiniti that's how it works. If the fobs not in the car and you try to drive off it wil cut off.

Another thing I like about the smartkey/push to start is how dope some of these key fobs look. This is my Girlfriend smart key on her 2016 Malibu LT.. Probably one of the best looking smart key fobs I've ever saw. Look at how sleek it looks.

Some technology is goofy as hell and unnecessary, but key fobs are a fantastic invention. I still have a habit of manually hitting the locks as I'm getting out the car though.

nice and convenient especially during winter and summer if you have heated or ventilated seats.

I work for BMW, we got some keys that cost 1000+
It's like holding a little smart phone in your hand

Next car I get into I'm for sure going push to start. Automatic start is so clutch in the winter too.

my key got busted up from being in my pocket so i looked into getting a new one. that crap is expensive.
