Sneaker maintenance thread is not the end all

Just wanted to say that the sneaker care and maintenance thread is a wealth of knowledge, but not the end all. There have been a lot of topics recently that are asked but the care and maintenance thread does not address. Or properly. It is way to big for a new poster to sift through to find the answer, and a lot of the info in there is old and super obsolete.

The trend here lately has been to close everything and direct to a different thread. Not every thread is filled with useful info for every specific question.

Most of the threads that get directed to the care and maintenance thread should just be addressed in there. People are pretty helpful in there.
