The 10 best burgers in america

Medium rare ground meat is OD. I do medium.
so steak tartare is out the question?

Every time I go to Paris I think about eating it at this famous spot but can't bring myself to it .. Yet.

Maybe try some beef tataki and see if you like it.

I was at a Korean restaurant before and ordered this dish that was raw ground beef, raw egg, sliced fruit, and some kinda sauce.

I don't know why it is irritating when a girl gets her stuff well done because, "I don't like to see pink." Even though you have explained to them dozens, AND DOZENS, of times that pink doesn't mean blood/alive/raw.

That irritates me SO much for some reason.

Yea I know I was once a well-doner and I know it is HER food, but damn it is frustrating

It's still surprising that the majority of people think that stuff is blood. Even on nt I see most say they think it's blood.

Common/Understandable misconception

I mean if they aren't educated on it, why wouldn't they think the red flesh of an animal is mostly blood. It is completely understandable but most folks don't care enough about it to research it outside of when they are faced to order their meal.

Google exists in this world now. It'd take a few seconds to look it up. Plus blood has an iron-y taste. If it was blood they would taste that in beef or steak, I would assume.

You are right, google exists but what I am saying is people that THINK it is blood, are probably only thinking about the "blood" when they are faced with ordering a steak.

Most won't be sitting in their room on a Tuesday night researching whether or not it IS blood.

Usually it takes pressure from someone else to encourage them to order the "right way" or to educate them on what the deal really is.

All I am saying it is completely understandable for people to think that it is blood

My wife MAYBE MIGHT get down on some barely pink beef, but it'll take me tricking her. My son kinda goes along with the flow so if I can get him to enjoy one away from moms he'll see the light early. She just started eating sushi so it may be sooner than later

It's all in the handling and contamination. Most places can barely get a medium rare steak right I doubt I can trust them to get the temperature of the ground burger right for medium rare or not cross contaminate a steak tartare.

I'm glad my wife knows how to order steaks and burgers medium.

Side note, bought McD's for the first time in months...the Double Quarter Pounder is still legit lol

If I didn't grill a burger long enough then i force myself to eat a rare burger. Texture is all mushy and you bite into it and the moisture makes the bun all soggy.

I remember the first time I tried to make a medium rare burger and I couldn't do it. It tastes just like how raw ground beef smells and I couldn't get it out of my head.
