Mom Goes From Thin to Plus Size Vol. NT THICK APPROVED

My question to NT is, what would guys do if your girl told you one day that "I don't feel comfortable in my body anymore, I feel more comfortable gaining 50-100 lbs more."

What would you guys do if she told you that?

Well done, Ninja.

This is the bottom line. Attention, negative or positive is still attention and some people need it

Nah, that isn't the point. The point is folks need to stop trying to mask their attention seeking missions as some sort of standup/empowerment movement.

This IS a dangerous message to attempt to send to folks. Not like anyone is likely to listen, but that is beside the point. But this one is just flat out stupid.

She talking reckless about "y'all don't know me, y'all don't know what health is"

So this chick is just washed now and she's trying to turn it into a "positive"?

The things fat people say sometimes

Aside from your spouse becoming an invalid from legit medical circumstances, i'd be looking for a refund on that. That has to violate something for your girl to go from a 7/7.5 to a 4 because "empowered"

The problem is, she's advertising it to others.

Like okay fine, you're happy and comfortable now. GREAT! So why the attention seeking? Keep it to yourself if it's so empowering to yourself.

What kind of movement is she trying to pursue here.

You're really asking why people document their journeys and why they try to connect with others? Is that a serious question in 2017?

The "movement" is trying to show people that are like her younger self - killing themselves to get to a certain weight and still being unhappy - that it's possible to grow out of it and be happy with your body regardless of fat or skinny. That's the target audience. It's not that complicated. Why do you care so much?

Man go somewhere with the, "Why do you care so much" card.

It is a thread on here and people are discussing it. I am sure nobody cares anymore than you do. When we click X on this window, we aren't thinking about it

The "movement" is trying to show people that are like her younger self that working out and eating right to stay healthy and in shape takes too much work. Much easier to be lazy, and shovel cheeseburgers into your face. Takes less energy.
Fixed

We leading the world in obesity rates, heart disease is the number one killer of men. How do we have time to get comfortable?

Yes there are people unhappy with the struggle of staying skinny, but I'm sure being morbidly overweight is a way worse experience

U guys sound really angry over her happiness. Yeah she pudgy but she look aiight. Yall dudes act like you all got the bodys of Greek gods and women are blowing you up all day to come over. Foh, half of ya'll ain't smash nothing since 2015-2016, the other half are barely out of virgin status....#behumble

Im seriously wondering. The jokes and stuff I understand. I don't get the people saying theyre pissed off about it. This sort of stuff brings out strong reactions in people and it literally doesn't effect them at all.

People are acting like you have to use cocaine to maintain a skinny weight. It's a damn cop out. Eating healthy and being active can get you the same results.

I dont understand why this is a story

Its not like she gained all that in a year or something

That is a 12 year difference in that picture

Chick had kids...gained some weight...likes her body still

Wat am i missing here

We have threads on NT dedicated to fitness. People go to the gym every day to maintain/transform their bodies.

I guarantee you that people work out to fit societies standards just as much as they do it for health reasons. Why are people always in the gym after break ups? Because they don't feel good about themselves. Working out gives you endorphins and makes you feel good. It's like a drug.

This woman's drug is being happy in her own body and not trying to conform to society and go to the gym every day any more. She said she didn't like how that made her feel how she was always working so hard just to fit in with the rest of the society.

Now, she doesn't care. But all the fitness people still do, and they are still working on themselves and looking down on her props them up.

The strong reactions stem from insecurity and misunderstanding IMO.

This woman isn't hurting anyone, she's happy, and people are giving her ish because they're all sheep that think you have to be fit to be happy.

No one's angry at her happiness, and I'm sure most understand weight gain isn't black and white and is a struggle. But even most fat people will tell you it's not ideal and not something you should strive for. The happiness is misplaced considering all the internal factors that come with being overweight (real happiness in tested stress levels included). Like stop, stop encouraging each other to kill ourselves for social media likes. Get over your feelings and deal with the real possibility you may shorten your time with your kids. It's pretty damn vain thinking of this as simply about looks.

Word. This chick admitted she was starving herself back then. Right off the bat, that proves this chick just goes about things the wrong way. This is just the other end of the spectrum :smh:

Like, do these obese people really look in the mirror and find absolute happiness in what they see?

Cmon bro she does not look "aiight". She looks disgusting and unhealthy. And this is coming from a dude who loves thick women. She's lookin like Larry Holmes flabby and sick.

This simple

I don't think anyone is saying she doesn't deserve to be happy. But you just can't come out and say "yo being fat is healthy", because you are going against health science with that logic.
