Jordan x Converse pack $300 retail June 28th 2017

Then give us a shoe he wore at UNC. It's cool they brought those back but to me the USA colorway and 2s without the tacky date on the back would have been better. That's me, I'd rather have something true to the original then commemorative dates or images on a shoe.

I'm sure they'll rerelease the Pro Leather or Pro Star in due time.

I can see where DownyBoy is coming from. Especially, when the Pro Leather Hi and AJ2 lows are still in production. The pack could've easily been the AJ2 lows with the correct date and the proper Pro Leather Hi.

Instead, we get a Converse that is rolling out, not coincidentally, two days later in three other colorways in an homage UNC blue (which is nice but kinda pointless). Then there is the 2 which has already been discussed. The pack as a whole can be interpreted as very lazy. ANOTHER release that didn't get fact-checked. It's also funny how the pack is talked about in very broad terms.

Having said all that, I want the Fastbreaks just because I like the color and the model. I refuse to drink the Jordan Brand Kool-Aid in regards to any meaning behind it.

I'm a fan of both models just the way they're telling the story is extremely convoluted because of how they executed. Just read this--

The most memorable examples of the “Love of the Game” contract clause are the famous UNC alumni games that took place in 1986 and 1987. While the September 6, 1986 game was played between Tar Heel alumni during the Dedication of the Dean Edward Smith Center, the June 28, 1987 game raised the stakes by making it against a star-studded rival alumni team. Never missing an opportunity to compete, MJ shined in both games while wearing his second signature sneaker. Not only did MJ put on a show, he also unknowingly debuted his original player edition, or PE colorway. In the 1986 game, he wore the Chicago home colorway of the Air Jordan II that featured a never-before-seen detail — Carolina Blue on the heel. In the 1987 game, he opted for a low version of the II in his alma mater’s team colors. Now, the II returns to honor both games by combining the original 1986 PE II with the 1987 game date.
He wore highs in '86 but we're going to put the '87 date.

MJ’s refusal to skip the 1984 games is another classic example of his “Love of the Game.” Having just been drafted, it was arguably in his best interest to decline, but instead he helped lead the USA men’s basketball team to a gold medal. During the games, he wore his favorite Converse model, the Fastbreak. To honor his memorable performances in Converse sneakers at the University of North Carolina (including a national title) and in the 1984 Olympics, the Fastbreak returns in Carolina Blue.
He played in these shoes at the olympics...but hey here they are in a UNC colorway.

^Thats exactly right. The first half being not-so good cover up for messing up the date. Also, what's with the talk of that shoe being his first PE? [emoji]129300[/emoji]

The second half is supposed to mean what, JB? LOL The Fastbreak was MJ's favorite model of Converse? Suurrrre. Please accept this UNC colored Converse that has nothing to do with my college career as a reflection of everything I did in college. [emoji]129300[/emoji]

This whole pack seems like a bit of a reach

Damn, I wore enough Converse as a kid to last a lifetime.
Only Converse I like to look these days are on the legs of some sweet young lady.

Jordan Brand stretching it with a Converse collab in my opinion. :smh:

Definitely is a reach! No one wants these Jordan Brand

Seems to me the best part is the wings logo on the insole of the converse.

These will probably sit. Def wanna check out both in person tomorrow. Chances are super low in me trying to buy it.

If anyone is copping the pack just for the converse in a 9.5 or 10 shoot me a dm I’m more than interested in taking the 2s off your hands

These 2's are nice, but i'm straight on buying the pack

And they're basically selling these 2's for $150, so why can they just make all the other retros $150 ?

So they don't give us the navy converse that we should have gotten but we get navy shorts he never wore instead? Oh well. Carolina blue shorts only for me.
