Elderly woman body slammed and thrown into pool Vol. At least her dogs are safe

Battery/Assault.... he'll go to jail for like less than 30 days

I applaud him for owning up, guilt trip must've got to him. But there's no reason to Lawyer up imo.

If he has no record, that's crazy that jail would even be considered.

Yo. NT goes hard on youngsters that make mistakes. Think it's cuz they were straight up squares as youngins. Idk..

Yeah weird considering a majority of us have already been through those phases in life of being reckless, and dangerous to everyone around us so we should be more tolerant and understanding that youngsters make mistakes and shouldn't have their lives ruined over a small incident.

And there is no way anyone should trust the law to judge him fairly especially in the South.

I just read this story the other day... 18 years for 18 grams of weed with no chance of parole in Louisiana. Ridiculous

Nah no way bro.... if you were in that position, I wouldn't even arrest you.

I'd escort you to their location, tell you to handle your business and drive the other way.
 Damn, I know you aren't serious though. Funny regardless

True. Honestly, if he is still in highschool, I don't see him charged as an adult (not for this incident) he'll go to Juvi for x amount of time. That's it.

**** that nonsense, never engage the system without someone that understands how to maneuver it.

I agree, but he already turned himself in. He basically pleaded guilty. So why would he spend (could be thousands of dollars) on a Lawyer?

When I was 18 I sold a 15 year old a bottle of Smirnoff. Chick GUZZLED it, got alcohol poisoning and almost died. I got the case CWOF'd (continued without a finding) as long as I did a day long alcohol awareness class and 20 hrs of community service. Haven't been in trouble since.

I'm a proponent of diversion programs like that for young populations. Build their skills and use the opportunity as a teaching point. Don't let the system swallow people up because it usually starts a never ending cycle.
Yea if he doesnt have a record then diversion is always the way to go....its serious enough where you actually have to do stuff and think about how u messed up, but not bad enough to put a stain on your name for life or set u back too much

8/10 grown man sized people can't fight though.

And yes the ***** online crying about people with guns sounds scary

My views changed somewhat when I found out his age and backstory (pops is a convicted murderer) Growing up with that going on must've been rough, happened in 08 so he was about 7 watching pops go through a murder trial.

He's a 16 year old kid. Doesn't excuse or downplay his actions.

The end game of this however should be to rehabilitate, not shame for the rest of his life and let this one incident destroy him at a young age.

He deserves to be punished but nothing too servere. If he sincerely regrets his actions, some type of restorative justice like handling of things where he makes right with that old lady and gets a punishment that revolves heavily around extensive community service, ideally working with seniors would do him so good.

If this was a grown man, I'd view it differently, but as much as this kid deserves to be held accountable, ruining his life over this isn't the answer either.

Can't blame him for lawyering up though. Public defender in a situation like this would be a nightmare end game for him.

I understand young kids do stupid ****
Stealing...driving reckless...doing/selling drugs...or just actin a fool watever. Lord knows i did dumb ****

But throwing an elderly person into a pool??? Lol

Who does that.
This is the first time ive seen this particular stupid young kid action ever.

It's stupid. His actions were inexcusable. I actually applaud the lady for not calling the cops right off the bat like most people would do off noise complaint issues when a neighbor or someone in their apartment complex is throwing a party and is really loud.

Just would rather see something positive come out of this. Lock this kid up and crucify him, all that's going to do is harden him up and have him around a destructive atmosphere. Jail, juvenile hall etc have a revolving door for a reason.

If he's sincerely sorry and remorseful a lot of good can potentially come out of a punishment that revolves heavily around working with the elderly for a decent period of time.

When someone says, "Throw the book at him" what do you feel that implies/suggests?

Maximum sentence possible for the crime committed, and add any crime possible. In this case, animal cruelty/assault

Lock this fool up. No one should ever hurt grandma :smh:, and dogs. Anyone sticking up for this fool is lost, nothing he did is excusable..not sure how it's even possible people are saying go easy on him. How often have you seen videos like this? Never, this dude is on another level, lock his *** up and make an example out of him.
Make America great again and get rid of idiots like this.

when i was young, i went to the hyatt with a buncha my friends and we were all drunk. it was new years and i brought firecrackers. at midnight, when everyone started cheering, i lit the firecrackers and threw them on top of the crowd and people were scattering like crazy. as we were leaving, there was an older man standing on a small wall next to a pond. as we walked by, i nudged him in.

when i first read the OP, i thought man, i'd bat that kid if he threw my moms into the pool like that. then i remembered all the dumb stuff i did when i was younger. i think i'd still bat the kid and now i realize how lucky i was that someone didn't shoot me for all the havoc i caused.

As is self-control. Especially when dealing with females and old folks.

I'm not out here decking old folks and ladies.

But I do NOT let them slide when they think they can get away with stuff just cuz societal standards.

Nah, b.

I did tons of stupid ****

But theres just certain lines u dont cross and u should know not to cross no matter your age.

I believe his friends were egging him in and this wasnt 100% him

The biggest difference between the stupid **** kids are doing now and the stupid **** we (and those older than us) did as kids is that everyone has a camera and is quick to record all this stupidity and post it to the internet.
