Who can say N...the "N" word? vol. all you closet racist NTers contribute to the convo

Go to the bay area and everyone says it :smh:

I've never been anywhere in the states where minorities as a group don't say it.

Or you talking white people? White folk who are with it do seem to get a pass, LA just doesn't have that type of white folk.

I grew up saying it. But if im around black people i won't use that word out of respect, unless they koo like that. I have no problemo with a black dude referring to me as an ese or vato just off the strength of how us mexicans and blacks grew up around each other, and how ***** is in my vocab.

As a white dude, my perspective is that white folks shouldn't use the word in any form under any circumstances. Period.

Other than that, my opinions on who should or shouldn't use the word are ultimately irrelevant, as it's not really my issue to have an opinion about.

Nobody should say it.. If you say it.. Prepare to fight for it.. if you offended the wrong person..

Such a slippery slope. It is used amongst non-blacks way more than people want to admit to. Which I think is comical in the sense that a good portion of those who are up in arms over it are just faking the funk. They want to be politically correct in appearance but use it within their groups, circles, friends, etc.

This thread seems to pop up every now and then, I am curious to if it ends like the others

I HATE being around non-black people that use it. It's just uncivilized to me, especially when many of the minorities that use it also look down on black people at the same time.

Your last part is so dead on. It's like racist inception. I've seen it too many times. Use it with your friends as a term of endearment. Look down upon blacks and use the racial slur version. Then continue to use the other version as a term of endearment. Baffles me.

Insert Mexican and that's me.

I'm old now so I've stopped using it; however, I only used it in my circle(s), never around family or well that's it...I got one Mexican friend and he grew up the same way.
I'm half Mexican half Guatemalan with some black ancestry.

I don't use that word at all, even if they're in lyrics of my favorite rap songs I'll never recite it. Mexicans have ZERO right to use that word, growing up around black folks isn't reason enough to use it either. That's their word to use as a term of endearment  as only their families have endured that specific type of tragedy and injustice.

Only people that should be allowed to utter that word are black folk. Period. It doesn't matter what country they're born in.

im asian and i hate it when i see other asians using it, if you're not black or black looking you should not use it

unless you are rapping the lyrics from a rap song then you can have a pass imo

I'm hispanic and grew up with mothing but black friends. I'm sure I had "pass" but I've never had the urge to use it.

I've seen hispanic people use the word in front of black people all my life and have never seen anybody have a problem. I do think it's a little weird to use other people use it, regardless of you growing up with black people. The older you are, the funnier I look at you if you're not black and use it.

But not saying it when rapping along to a song? I'm saying it every single time. It's a song

I don't use it around white people or other ethnicities that aren't black because I don't want them using it around me. Makes me cringe. I'm not one of those guys who will fight over it but I would say something. If they try to justify it then I already know that's not someone I want around me.

I wish rappers would use it less.

I hate how some black people let others think it's ok. You're setting your friend up.

I'll never understand why some non blacks fight so hard to say it. Imo you guys can turn off that act whenever you want or it's convenient. Black people have to deal with their struggle 24/7.

If you were hispanic I didn't care until I realized, like someone brought up earlier, you have groups of non-black people who use the word and yet look down on black people. That's when it started to bother me.

I never personally was cool with white dudes who said it but I knew some white dudes who got a pass to say it from others. Which I think is a slippery slope.

Im.mixed black and hispanic grew up in the hood and around black family they all used it i used it and still use it from time to time in certain settings...i cant stand when non black.people say it mainly because they think its cool but its a real slipperly slope between racist white people and other nationalities using it so they shouldnt say it at all ....i blame hip hop lol

I'm black

and I don't even think we should use it. And I don't use it and I tell others I associate with my feelings about it.

besides eliminating the confusion and the slippery slope

rap music has other races feeling entitled to our culture and what we do.

I think us using the word is a lot deeper than us using the word, and it stems from the 400 years and Atlantic slave trade. Us using and accepting others using that word is a result.

No other race would go for it as a so called term of endearment

It's just a word? naw...let me call you something you don't like and say it's just a word.

Taking away the meaning? Then why use it? There's numerous other words that we can use that are positive.
