I definitely dont see this as much as i used to.

In the hood primarily.

I know one of yall still got 2 fifteens back there

I have a whole setup that I never used. Brand new in my garage. Was going to put it in my 96 Impala SS but rather have my spare and trunk room. A friend of mine has 4 12s in the back of his 88 Monte Carlo SS. MMATS audio pro series. It's more a show/weekend car than a daily.

A lot of stock systems are good enough these days. Last time I had a box and an amp was 2002. My then gf used to complain about it all the time. Used to pull up everywhere knocking pictures off the wall making refrigerators fall.

Ive always wanted to. I saved up and all of that but throughout that time i would hear stories of how people got robbed and such....so to avoid dealing with that i changed my mind.

Never had anything extra in da whip but I pray for the sake of humanity, we never lose the cats with the systems knockin with 4/15s

2 12's used to bang lol
I think the amp is still technically connected but haven't used it in YEARS

I had 2 12 solo baric kickers years ago.

Im talkin peak Gucci years :x

I still hear people knockin though.

Never new they went out of style.

Sold 2 15s last summer, my boy would say how it would be a problem messing with his gas tank and I would need a other car battery...meh just flipped it

setups i see nowadays are lot more tame.

less 2 x 12s and more single 10s and stuff

Have a single 10". More practical with trunk space. Sometimes I want to bang louder with a 12" or 2 but dont to lose trunk space.

Used to have a set up in my old 2006 Honda, had to take it out to ship back from overseas and never put it back in. On top of that my new whip has built-in amp and sub. Outside of hobbyist dedicated to building systems in their cars it seems like a dying market. You go in Best Buy that whole section is ALWAYS empty.

- Car makers make it almost impossible to access the factory stereo without ripping the car to pieces.

- If you do get the stereo out, you need to jerry-rig the wiring because there are no adapters for the radio

- Aftermarket radios not fitting in the consoles without adapters

Too much work when you can get the automakers upgraded set up right there when you purchase the car.

Dusty dudes can't afford a decent set-up anyway. I go to my moms neighborHOOD and hear nothing but clock radios turned up to level 50 out of someones crown vic with 90"rims.

thinking about grabbing a box chevy this summer. the candy paint is whats making me have second thoughts

Man I used to have a '98 Tacoma extra cab with a JL audio 12w3 Sony amp and pioneer head unit with Sony speakers. Now I have an '09 Tacoma with the JBL system. All I've done it's just get the pioneer AVH-x5500BHS. Gotta upgrade that now since the iPhone has gone way past it. Plan on upgrading the speakers next since the JBL sub does a pretty good job and I can't get anything to crazy cause I have my daughter now.

 I remember riding around with my friends dad. Me and my boy and his dad in his grand national and his dad had two 12's in a ported box in the trunk.

His dad had icy on repeat by Gucci and Jeezy, burning out at every green light taking us to get burgers at Wendy's. those were the days. :pimp:
