Notorious BIG Brooklyn mural coming down? SMH. Update: it's staying!

I'm with u all until that last sentence
ALSO
 at u saying it aint about the money for cube
he tore up offices and beefed with nwa over money
him and mack 10 not on speaking terms cause of money
cube all about the money man
just at that time him chilling with public enemy had him woke
which i believe he still is
but he bout the money first and foremost

Listen, he was literally being robbed by Eazy and Jerry. The content of the music was not money driven but more a message from the soul. By the time Next Friday rolled around the lyrics took a back seat to the quest for more money.

Mack 10? Who cares.

To be fair, not being all about the money doesn't mean you'll be okay with not getting paid and being cheated by your manager/agent.

Cube was simply trying to get paid what he was owed.

the fact that this thread was about bigs mural and it turned into a full blown jay z roasting session is beyond amazing.

dude was either trolling or just a herb. (in the full blown early 90's sense of that word)

no one in their right mind would say big was under jay in any way shape or fashion.

style, charisma, likability, wittyness, etc etc

itll always be BIG >>>> Jay

FIRST THINGS FIRST!!!!!
See what he did to dame
See what he did to all of rocafella
Just left them dudes to drown
They all thought jay was the best for em which I understand
But he took their trust and squashed it
Dude ain't loyal
Not to mention a pedophile
Y'all see how he wanted Beyoncé soooo bad even though she was under age
That's just what untrustworthy
Snake
Unoriginal
Corny
Wack ****** do
He latches on to people like a leech
And sucks them dry
Ol boy a human chameleon the way he takes folks style
Most awkwardly social ***** *** ***** in rap
ALSO
Nas won
Jay wishes he could be nas
But he can't
Cause he a snake
And a snake can't shed its skin
And become a real one
Well
A snake can shed its skin
But u know what I mean

Boyyy you got a lot of hate in your blood I see.

To me alot of Jay Z fans are corny.....

Every typical square *** suburb lame swears by Jay Z to make them seem like they are true down with the culture hip hop heads.

Fake wannabe white hip hop heads swear by Jay Z cuz he did songs with Linkin Park.

Then they look dumb when you mention names like

Black Moon

Mic Geronimo

Big L

Special Ed

Kool G Rap

DJ Polo

AZ

Hip Hop is a serious subject for us true Hip Hop heads.....we just hate people who fake the funk.

Thats why I wouldn't even discuss hip hop with anyone under 25.

If you wasn't watching stuff like this on THE BOX then you didn't experience the height of hip hop.

Is this real? This is

Yes, it's very real. In fact, this mural is only 5 blocks from the Big mural. I used to live around there and I really like the ODB one. To make it even more authentic, this mural is right next to a liquor store

Damn didn't know Jay operated like that. Im jumping off J's boat
How can you not know this in 2017? You have 20 years of evidence fam

I'm not even gonna get into the back and forth about Jay and BIG, argued ad nauseum about what he's done. You got eyes and ears, judge for yourself.

I co-sign your first sentence. Your second sentence is dumb af! The problem with our generation is that we believe Hip Hop stopped after the 90's, which is some of the stupidest **** ever. True, we grew up in the Golden Era (I'm assuming you were born in the 70's like me and actually grasped the 80's & 90's), but this culture has always been about evolution. The youth of today needs guidance from the previous generation, but also the encouragement to forge their own sound and style.

That left eye line came out on the DJ clue album in I want to say 2001. She was still alive and well at that point.

He was referring to her burning Andre Risons house down to the ground with that verse.
Bingo
I thouvht this was widely known.

Especially since Big said it first.

^ It's a lot that we know and take for granted that a lot don't know. We've reached that point in hip hop

So the mural is staying. Landlord is going to keep it up. Details not disclosed but I'm guessing whoever agreed to pay that monthly rate he wanted.

I live on Quincy and Bedford and just found out about this yesterday  glad it's staying though.
