Explosion at Ariana Grande Concert in Manchester U.K

Dark times :smh:

I used to work for the firm that runs security at the venue.

After the Paris attack everybody was getting wanded and pat down searched at the places i worked. Lord knows where it goes from here.

After seeing all these lone wolf attacks over the last couple years this doesn't surprise me at all sadly.

22 people dead but the ripple effect is life changing for 100's if not 1000's.

The bomber must have turned his immediate vicinity into mince meat. If you happen to lay eyes on that you're going to be ruined forever.

You can't stop it through security, sadly. Remember the attack on Charlie Hebdo in France? They had a couple of armed cops to protect the building and what happened? Dudes with AK47s just walked up to them in broad daylight and shot them.

The best way to stop it is by preventing those people who commit these terror attacks to become radicalized in the first place. Once they become sick in the head enough to want to blow themselves up and take as many people with them, they're a lost cause.

This is just so sad. RIP to the victims and prayers for the families.

As someone who has attended a lot of a concerts, this hits close to home and is terrifying. A concert is a place we go to escape everyday life and feel at ease and happy.

We can't feel safe anywhere [emoji]128532[/emoji]

Condolences to those folks. Lot of cowards these days that like to go after soft targets instead of those with the ability to fight back.

She said all that?

Na, it was taken out of context IMO. Americans are known to eat garbage food.

I am EXTREMELY proud to be an American and I've always made it clear that I love my county*. What I said in a private moment with my friend, who was buying the donuts, was taken out of context and I am sorry for not using more discretion with my choice of words. As an advocate for healthy eating, food is very important to me and I sometimes get upset by how freely we as Americans eat and consume things without giving any thought to the consequences that it has on our health and society as a whole. The fact that the United States has the highest child obesity rate in the world frustrates me. We need to do more to educate ourselves and our children about the dangers of overeating and the poison that we put into our bodies. We need to demand more from our food industry. However I should of* known better in how I expressed myself; and with my new responsibility to others as a public figure I will strive to be better. As for why I cannot be at the MLB show, I have had emergency oral surgery and due to recovery I cannot attend the show. I hope to make it up to all those fans soon. That being said let me once again apologize if I have offended anyone with my poor choice of words.

That quote was stupid, but in regards to political correctness, yes it did play a role. Yet again, the bomber was on the radar of intelligence but because of how it would be perceived as profiling, he was never detained or deported.

Could it be that they didn't arrest him because they didn't have any hard evidence that he was going to act this way? The IC can't simply detain everyone on their radar without doing away with due process.

They didn't detain him because it MIGHT have been perceived as profiling? They care about that now?

I mean to blame PC culture is an extreme. But when people don't even want to call it what it is. And that is clearly the case. Its an issue.
