Judge Sentenced Man Who Drugged & Raped 16 Year Old Sister To 3 years In Prison

Let me get this right. He is an adult male convicted of raping a minor who happens to be his sister, not accused but convicted. Yet they give him a light sentence because of "stigma" and they still blur his face. While accused black and brown boys, not adults, have their faces plastered all over the news media for allegedly raping someone before any evidence proving they are guilty is available.

You can pick whichever group of them you want because the outcome is always the same. Girl cries rape on these boys, and they are paraded on tv for the world to see. Later on it is revealed they are innocent.

Delete this nephew.

So raping your fourteen year old sister is how much better than your six year old sister?

Think about this?

You thinking that says something about you.

Obviously neither is acceptable but to say one isnt worse than the other? Id assume a jury would be more critical of someone who raped a chil as opposed to a teenager.

How do you decide which is worse though? Measure the amount of perceived emotional trauma combined with the physical trauma of each individual victim? It's pretty subjective if you ask me. Tough to decide which individual was "victimized worse" when only considering their age.

And it just HAS to turn into a race topic now? [emoji]128580[/emoji]

How old was the girl? I think that detail is pretty important.

Im looking into this case and nothing else on the outside cause then its just gonna turn out into a racial debate.

How can age not be a factor? If she has 6 years old the age would def also be a headline.

Is the underlying thought here white privilege? Man, im out. [emoji]128530[/emoji]

Age isn't a factor because another case had a man film himself raping a 1 year old baby. He recorded it to be viewed by pedophiles on a website. All he got was probation.

The college swimmer who raped the girl that was passed out at a party, the judge was lenient on him because he didn't want to ruin his life. If I've missed something please let me know, but the underlying theme here is they are all white and are being granted mercy for some heinous acts.

White football player sodomizes mentally challenged black kid and gets off and isn't considered a sex offender.

Crime is crime and people regardless of race should be punished accordingly. There is a gross imbalance when it comes to punishment of one side vs the other. That is the problem.

Why can't other judges step in? And why don't they go by the book 100% of the time?

Much like speeding. You speed. $250 fine for everyone

Rape easily minimum of 20 years, where judges can't go below a threshold.

Aggravating and mitigating factors. You can't use a cookie cutter approach for every crime. That would be ridiculous.

Like would you give someone who premeditated and carried out the murder of the person who sexually abused him for 20 years the same sentence as someone who devised a plan to kill his wife in order to cash in on her life insurance?

its "predictable" how these discussions go but completely ignore white people covering for other white people as the reason its "predictable"

like of course the reaction is going to be based on race, determination of the verdict was based on the perp's race

I try not to read many nasty, horrible stories like this that are posted. His parents need to make him disappear and never found again for what he did.

yeah, he did it----throw away the key

Judge Follet apparently also questioned if there was enough evidence for a jury to convict Bruder, despite there being a video-taped confession that the 20-year-old gave after admitting to what he did.

Judge Follet said "the stigma of this conviction along with the mandatory sex offender registration requirements would 'sufficiently deter Bruder"

Judge follet also noted in court that the victim took her own clothes off and was not unconscious.

I can't believe picasso swerve picasso swerve really in here questioning whether the sentence was racially motivated or not.

Black or white this is a heinous crime and deserves a 20 year sentence. The fact that the judge was "kind" enough to grant a lenient sentence is certainly motivated by race. Last black lenient sentence I saw T.I. On those gun charges (seriously) and he's rich.

picasso swerve picasso swerve take this L fam...fam ain't wanna "make it about race" but had the nerve to bring up that HORRIBLE analogy....

added literally 0 to the thread. Zilch.

Timeout, im the one said lets not turn this into a race thing.

Unfortunately when discussing the justice system, it's more often than not a race issue.
