Don’t look now, but Big Boi‘s Boomiverse album is right around the corner. Two weeks ahead of its release, the southern rap legend drops off a new visual for “Kill Jill,” a Killer Mike and Jeezy-assisted from his forthcoming project. Let’s just say it’s pretty interesting.

The new video sees Big Boi sitting on a European-styled throne at one point while somehow being in the presence people rocking clothes inspired by Japanese wardrobe. When the video isn’t focusing on Daddy Fat Sacks, we see Jeezy serving up the hook from a dimly lit red room while Killer Mike spits his verse in a very modern setting while surrounded by baddies. Like we said, it’s all interesting.

The video for “Kill Jill” means Big Boi’s now two-for-two when it comes to Boomiverse visuals. A few weeks ago, he unveiled his visual for the Adam Levine-assisted single, “Mic Jack.” In that video, the ATLien visits a laundromat only to be transported to an alternate universe once he tries on a fur coat. Trippy stuff.

As a member of OutKast, inventive visuals are nothing new to Big Boi. The thing is, those are likely just the tip of the ice berg when it comes to his goals for Boomiverse. Speaking with us in April, the Atlanta MC explained the purpose of his new album.

“Boomiverse is basically the big boom, like the Big Bang Theory, the beginning of something new,” Big Boi revealed. “It’s just to really promote new sounds, expanding the thought process, melodies and really to reset music, just really start it over. When albums used to come out, it shifted everything a little bit. What music is right now, it’s cool but we’re trying to forge a new territory.”

We still have a couple of weeks until we can see the new territory Big Boi speaks of. For now, you can peep his “Kill Jill” video and imagine.

I'm ready for this. His first album is damn near classic. Second album was dope but he was trying some **** out on that one. I'm ready for this one. Not mad features but the features are good.

Cannot wait. Legend of Chico Dusty was amazing and Vicious Lies was pretty cool. Big Boi has always been under appreciated to me.

So Andre can't drop just 1 rap album for the people smh.

Nope. He can go flick his guitar in his glow in the dark bell-bottoms

I liked Vicious Lies better than Son of Chico, but looking forward to this album. Was hoping for at least 1 Outkast song.

Damn, that cover kind of sucks hahaha. But seriously though, I can't wait for this either. His first project is one of my favorite Hip Hop album since it released and his second one was really good as well.

Big stays with some low budget looking covers.  VLADR cover was pretty dope to me though--I'll give him that.

"And aint no brotha on ya playlist ******* with a A-list brotha like me." - Big Boi

"Two rollies at the same time I'm too cool

Gucci is ya loccin' cause that ma***** crip blue

Soo woo bentley and the ford is soo woo too

And I know two jews eat a case like it's fast food."

I kept from listening to the singles when they dropped and just finished my first playthrough. I think it's really good.

I'm glad that he and Killer Mike are dropping an EP because they always sounded good together. They go in on the tracks that they are on.

"Get Wit It" was perfect for Snoop. It has a West Coast vibe for sure.

I didn't care for the hook in "Freakanomics", but it's still good.

Good album, bout on par with Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors, just shorter. Organized Noize really came through on a lot of these, and he balanced out the poppy/left-field stuff well with the harder tracks. Don't like the track with Kurupt and Killer Mike, was expecting something more like Kill Jill and In The South but it was more on the pop side. Mixed up that song . I dig Order of Operations too, but Don Q used that beat already on his most recent tape.

Jammin.

Mannie still got some heat in the tuck.

Big Boi/Kast undefeated when it come to incorporating skits on albums, them ***** be hilarious.

You know why your grandma had that plastic on her couch? Cause your grandma was a squirter. [emoji]129300[/emoji]

Album is underwhelming for me. A lot of misses, I need more songs like Kill Jill, In the South and Made Man. Some of the other songs are just too funky for me. I'll play it some more and see how I feel.

Been playing it, some songs growing on me. I like probably 7-8 total. Not bad but Killer Mike's verses on this album. **** is unfair, he was flowing for real.
