That Cavs team would beat the Warriors in 5.

PG is a huge offensive and defensive upgrade over Love. And Melo would hit every open jumper he gets unlike JR/Shump/Korver. For the millionth time, you dont beat this Warriors team on the defensive side of the ball. The all defensive team last year was...

Cp3
Avery Bradley
Kawhi
Draymond
Gobert

That team would get absolutely washed too.

That's what I'm saying. I can see making this move if Jimmy Butler makes you a contender..,but he doesn't make THIS Wolves team (as currently constructed) one. I see this ending in disaster actually.

Wait. You think they made that move thinking they are contenders? Wolves are just trying to improve. And butler is an improvement.

Oh wait, wolves believers were counting down on Dunn to improve them, right? He legit was one of the worst players last seasons. And I was big on him. Thought the celtics should have picked him. He looks like he had 34 year old legs.

If anyone can't see butler improves them tremendously, well, I don't really know what to say to you? Go watch baseball maybe?

still no answer for the 1/3 PNR between Steph and KD. Somebody has to chase Klay around all game on floppy action. And you got $100 Ms of salary tied up between 4 players. Gonna have to call up the Canton Charge.

You dont know bball at all. You dont beat them on defense? So the key is to outscore them? While theyre playing historic defense against you? Lmaoooo...theres a shirt somewhere that needs a body in it.

Nobody gives a **** about Melo. You can swap him for any other 20 ppg scorer and the same logic would apply.

If you think the answer to beating the Warriors is just to simply add any 2 big time scorers next to Bron and Kyrie....you hustling backwards.

Do you guys actually WATCH the games? They're a well-oiled machine because of how their attributes and talents all mesh with each other. Extremely high basketball IQ, extreme unselfishness. On both sides of the ball.

****** out here just coming up with NBA 2K Fantasy team ideas thinking that's what's going to beat them.

The answer to their 1/3 PNR is for Kyrie to actually fight through the screen. Durant sets piss poor screens so he shouldn't have a problem getting around them.

That floor spacing in Minnesota is going to be atrocious if they don't deal Rubio. And even still, I'm not sacrificing touches from KAT to give to Stringer

If you can't switch 1-4 w/o dying then you'll lose against Golden State, no matter who's playing on offense. You'd probably need a combination of Anthony davis, Jimmy Butler, Kawhi, Paul George or something like that to seriously beat them.

What the hell does "improve" mean when you're getting a guy that's 28 years old and you're still waiting on your 2 young guns to develop? By the time KAT and Wiggins are capable of playing winning basketball...how old will Jimmy Butler be?

I'm not making a move like this to just simply "improve". Again...that team is still FAR FAR away from doing anything significant.

All they did was add a ball dominant pushing 30 wing whose game doesn't mesh with their other wing that's one of their franchise cornerstones.

Wiggins himself has some issues on the offensive end when it comes to being one dimensional...and you put a ball dominant guard next to him?

Good luck with that.

Going to be hilarious to see some of your reactions when they made this move just to get a 7 seed in the playoffs.

I don't understand why teams don't make Green beat them from 3.

Wait, so lets have 5 youngsters instead? You're waiting how long for them to improve. That made zero sense. At a certain point, having a crew of all youngsters just means when you're about to be close to good, the team will get broken up.
Wolves need to get away from a young team and start adding some great players in the mix. They picked up a guy who has an unbelievably kind contract for the team. Now they hope they can add some more talent, which will be tough since its minnesota.

I don't get it. You criticize waiting on two of the young guns to develop but would rather have 5 young guns instead. Huh?

When the hell did i "criticize" waiting on two young guns to develop?

That's NORMAL. They're 21 and 22. That's what they're supposed to be doing. I keep my young talent together and let them naturally progress together. I'm not expecting them to be contenders...and I'm only splitting them up if it makes my team SIGNIFICANTLY better.

Jimmy Butler DOES NOT make the Minnesota Timberwolves significantly better.

If Boston trades for Jimmy Butler....that makes sense. That's adding a player to a team where his strengths can significantly improve upon what I already have in place. Not Minnesota.

They're still a mile behind the top 4-5 teams in the West. Some of you ****** think making the playoffs comes with a trophy or something. I'm not splitting up my young core to just simply make the playoffs.

Yea they cut the cord on Zach a bit too early given that Jimmy is 28 and they missed the playoffs last year. And he's an awkward fit

Too early in their process to make deals like that. Jimmy gonna be on the wrong side of 30 by the time they make any legitimate noise.

IF you ask me Jimmy already on the wrong side of 30 in his case . Boy got miles on him like he already 36.

Right.

If it were me I'd be doing everything in my power to try and funnel the ball to Draymond. Let him get his 20, 40, whatever.

But just in general though, GSW plays with so much force, and unlike every other team in the league, they have GREAT players moving off the ball, setting screens, cutting, routing hard, etc. If you can't effectively switch everything and force them to play 1 on 1 then you'll be cooked eventually.
