freeze freeze lol shut up. Just gonna have to agree to disagree on this one, but if any team wants a chance against this Warriors team they'd have to match the firepower. I don't care how good you guard them for 48 min, these guys will still hit 30 foot timely 3s

I think the Spurs with Kawhi would've given us the best series in the playoffs against GSW. I don't think they would've won though

It's not as simple as saying "I doubt Lavine is ever as good as Jimmy"

He was a more important "piece" than what Jimmy offers, and you build around Kat.

Now, they have to build around Butler......KAT was already getting overlooked for 5-10 minutes at a time.....now it will be worse, and you have less shooting....

Gross.

Minnesota is built just like OKC, except twice as bad.

Your offense doesn't have to be insane if you can slow them down a little bit. The Warriors are a tough task to begin with, to try and keep up with them and outscore them is a suicide mission.

Besides, the real key to beating GSW 4 out of 7 is the regular season. You have to start there.

Teams in the west who actually think they may have a chance have to take care of business in the regular season, along with taking 2 games from GSW in the regular season. Gotta stop this whole homecourt throughout the playoffs bs. This 67, 73 win **** is insane honestly and no team has a chance if they keep winning at this absurd rate.

The last time they didn't have homecourt throughout the playoffs was 2014 against my Clippers. To me, this is important because you won't win if you don't have homecourt. You'll already be down 2-0 and have to win 4 out of 5.

Regular season matters.

Completely different warriors team man

They added KD but the same principles apply. You have to be able to get stops consistently to even be in the game. That collection of players for Cleveland has ONE guy who wants to play defense. Not going to cut it. It's not feasible to rely on a historical offensive output every single game. Cavs were also in Game 3 because they played probably their best defensive game of the playoffs until those last 2 minutes. Your defense intensity is something you can control every night. Shots are going to miss.

Listen to what youre saying tho

You just need to have elite offense to beat gsw..while theyre playing elite offense AND defense against you? You wont out score them if theyre pressuring you of defense and youre just letting them stride into the lane. Cavs had a freaky elite offense when they faced the east. Wasnt til they went against defense thst they looked weak af. It wasnt just that they were outscored. They could score OR defend.

i'd be shocked if lavine or dunn will ever be as good as jimmy
you cant wait for these kids to develop. you already have another two young stud that are better (KAT and wiggins)

What are you talking about? Dunn and Lavine are 5-6 years younger than butler and were drafted high because of their potential. So you give them up already when your not winning anything anytime soon so why not wait and ride out your lottery picks a couple more years that have showed potential. Lavine was avg 22 a night before the injury. I hope they ball out in Chicago

Cavs severely lacked defenders in the finals. With JR checked out they had no chance.

They need a center to play meaningful minutes. A healthy bogut would have been interesting.

Still think Warriors can be beat. Hoping the Spurs can trade LMA and add a good player or two.

Having KD play at the 5 would have rendered Bogut useless.

T wolves gave up a young athletic, versatile guard who averaged 20ppg and shot 40% from 3 on a rookie deal

For a 28 year old wing who's had chemistry issues his last few years. Not only that....their spacing got worse.....and Jimmy Butler plays that "who's the man" ball. He also occupies the same places on the court as Wiggins.

Twolves had a chance to draft Jon Isaac....who would've fit in perfectly with their current roster...and grow with that core.

Not only that, they've already shower

It's very hard to hit on 4 players in consecutive drafts. T wolves did with Wiggins, Towns, Lavine and Deng....they had a chance to add to that with another young player....in a cheap draft...on a rookie deal.
They did not have a chance to draft Isaac though......Which is why they pulled the trigger.

I see what you are saying. I like LaVine, a lot. But you gotta roll the dice, and saying wait 3 more years is unrealistic to a fan base that is going on 2 decades of lottery picks. Also, this will have a domino effect for sure. Mills, Gibson, and other vets might actually visit here (something nobody did before) and might actually put together a top 5 team.

Jazz, Clippers, are trending down. Blazers, Nuggets, and OKC are not better on paper as of now. It's a no-brainer move. Does this make them a championship team? Of course not.....But it gets them trending upwards which a lot teams can't say this offseason....

Jimmy goes hard. Jimmy does, not his teams.

I'd be low key down and sulking if I was Kat.

KAT is still the guy. No doubts about that.

As far as more important piece in Lavine, care to expand?

The way they were built Lavine was their best shooter.

We had many convos last year about who to trade Lavine or Wiggins, evacuee they couldn't coexist or shouldn't be forced to.

I would always lean trade Wiggins, and I think most did.
But it just comes back to shooting for me.

You replaced your shooter with an elite version of Wiggins, who cannot shoot but can create and kill a clock.

The idea would have been trade Wiggins and keep Lavine and add a less ball dominant wing, someone like Batum who impacts the game in heaps of ways besides usage.

It's a good trade by name, on paper it's a wreck.

Since Hayward is going to Miami and Griffin is leaving LA, Wolves will clinch the 4 seed in the West next season.
