Gonna be interesting to see if DEN trades Kenneth Faried. The Manimal still got the goods and his ability to be a beast on the boards (especially offensively and get out on the break not to mention his grit and veteran toughness are characteristics that can be a tremendous asset to any team

UFA sharpshooters who should be on the Lakers radar if they can get them cheap:

C.J. Miles

Brandon Rush

Team only wants to offer 1+1 deals
Rush may look to secure a long term deal
I'd rather keep swaggy on the team but he's bound to end up on the warriors haha

CJ Miles shot the highest percentage in the league on uncontested 3's this season. Underrated player, woulda been nasty with the Rockets.

Did anybody catch this?
I thought it was for p.m. when I got the email this morning.
Low key mad AF now because I was looking forward to that before bed tonight. [emoji]128545[/emoji]

The fun is just beginning in Tinseltown, as the Lakers slowly but surely design a team that will be built to eventually dethrone the Warriors in 2-3 years...

“We need two superstar players to come here, to join this platform and join our core group of great players we now have,” Pelinka said. “That’s our plan and we’re going to put all of our energy and all of our hard work toward that.”

To do that, Pelinka said the Lakers will pursue a few goals.

He wants to acquire more shooters in free agency to accommodate Russell’s absence and Nick Young’s expected departure after the veteran opted out of his $5.7 million player option to become a free agent. Pelinka also hopes to add “the two or three remaining guys to the roster or potentially more that will help the young core develop and be mentors for the guys and fill positional needs.” Otherwise, Pelinka said the Lakers will be “very sacred” about preserving cap space this summer.

It's not unrealistic for the Lakers to make the playoffs in '17-'18 especially if they fulfill their goal to immediately upgrade their roster before the season begins.
And how is this different from what Mitch and co. were trying to do?

And it is unrealistic to expect them to make the playoffs next season. They're trying to clear cap room for next summer so they probably won't be signing anyone that moves the needle as far as playoffs go.

I knew I missed something
