Apparently Chicago contacted Sixers to trade Butler for #3 pick and were turned down, that's when Boston wanted to do the same deal with Bulls by moving down spots in the draft.
What the hell is their plan for the $30M in cap space that they have.  They just going to give up assets and say screw trying to sign free agents outright?  Or are they going to do this and then try to pursue Hayward or Blake as well.

Well the latest rumor was a 3 team trade with the sixers cavs and pacers. Pacers get picks, cavs get PG and sixers absorb kevin loves conteact which is like 20 something million

Or were you referring to the bulls not the sixers

Kind of seems like Danny Ainge's master plan—trading down from top picks to select middling project wings, signing B-level stars in free agency—is to be stuck in purgatory forever.

Or he's under the delusion that he'll actually be able to pull off the KG trade again, which was a gift from McHale in the first place.

I can see that semi-working.  I have no idea why the Sixers would be interested in that.  They already have a log jam at PF with Simmons and Saric.

Do we know what the Cavs are offering the Pacers?

They can only give the Pacers the right to swap picks until 2021 so it has to be Love right?  No way they are calling them offering them Tristan straight up.
Lakers package > than getting love

TT gott be like

"hey king... remember that time i reminded you about your  headband"

NT GM's what should the Pacers do fam? This is really ruining my work week already. Word on the street is that Teague isn't resigning either but that's not that bad a of a loss.

Just sucks our organization is owned by the 21st richest man in the country but is too cheap to pay to build a team :smh: . Herb Simon my guy but cmon breh :smh:
Just gotta take the best offer available and move on brother

Maybe you guys talked about this a few pages back, but I dunno...

I don't think a Love/PG swap is even at all (from a Pacers POV.) On top of it all, it's not like Cleveland can sweeten the pot with assets along with Love, because they just don't have them. That being said, do you think the Cavs would be willing to part with Kyrie in a deal for George? IF that was to happen, maybe CP3 takes a big pay cut to go to Cleveland? I know there are rumors of him going to SA, but let's be real. NO team in the West is getting past the Warriors over the next couple of seasons (barring a catastrophic injury to at least 2 of their big-4.) There's a much easier chance for CP3 to get to the Finals if he goes to Cleveland. Not sure how the lineups would look, but a big-4 of James, Paul, George, and Love would be interesting...

Are the lakers even offering a package at this point?  I havent heard any chatter about it.

It's coming. They lining up the ducks now in trying to acquire another lottery pick, my guess is shopping Clarkson.

Well the Pacers dont really have an option at this point.  Everyone and their brother knows that they have to get rid of PG and are going to end up taking pennies on the dollar to do so.

I think right now its a matter of whether or not the Pacer's even want Love at this point.  My guess is they would just prefer to blow it up and start over and trading PG for Love doesnt really do that for you.

Why on earth would the pacers take variant Monta Ellis when the original has it all
I think ultimately whatever package they end up accepting will probably end up being the one with the most picks.  I think the Cavs are going to have to get a third team involved since they cant offer any picks until 2021 unless Indiana is fine signaling to their fans that they are about to go through a 8-10 year rebuild.

Love's still a valuable asset though.  They could then flip him for at least a first.

They may not want Clarkson, but he's on a team friendly deal. But the Lakers are trying to get another pick for him instead before Thursday which could consummate a deal giving them 2 picks in addition to #2 plus their 2020 pick to give to the Pacers.

Randle and/or Russell should be moved if Lakers want to do the right thing. Lakers trying to secure another first round pick as well since they most likely will be moving 2-3 assets to get George in efforts to top what other teams are going to offer.

Dont think Clarkson is going to be the centerpiece.

Yeah but you have to get a team to take that offer.  What rebuilding team is going to trade for love knowing they are probably going to be terrible during his prime and he is going to take up a 1/5 of the salary cap?  I think the only way the cavs make it work is a third team.  Third team gets love, Cavs get PG, Pacers get picks from both third team and cavs.

The pacers might not want to rebuild. Some teams just wanna make money.

Pacers gotta be kicking there selves for not trading him last year.

Well swapping love with PG isnt going to get them any playoff appearances so they are really choosing between being ****** for a few years, or being stuck in basketball purgatory.  I dont think a straight swap makes sense at all for the Pacers and if it did, the deal would have happened already.
