With all this Amazon talk, thought I'd check in and see if any of y'all are flourishing with either Amazon FBA or the newer hustle, Merch By Amazon?

I'm still waiting to get approved for this Merch account..

Nobody?

I know oh you mad oh you mad is finessing the Amazon FBA platform..

They recently just cut all third party Nike sellers on Amazon as Nike finally saw the light and realized how powerful the Amazon machine is, and will now sell directly on the site.

I'll report back in 12 months..

Looking to start fba in jan-feb 2018 . If merch is a good avenue I will look into it once the private label gets off the ground.

Word, I'll be right there with you brother.

I would sign up for Merch by Amazon now if I was you. It doesnt cost anything and it's taking anywhere from a couple months to half a year/a year to get approved to be in the program.

What I love is you can upload designs from anywhere, near-zero overhead, zero inventory, dont have to deal with shipping/customer service, etc.

Probably not as lucrative as FBA, however I've seen people easily scale up this Merch business to make $5-$10k/month on the higher end.

There's an active FBA subreddit..check it out and ask there

My advice for people trying to get in on this is to start asap. Amazon is always changing(algorithm, competitors, stricter policies).

Start with 1 sku and treat is as it was your new born. Once it's all grown up and has best seller tag you have the map.. then add another one.

Our top sku brings in over 1.5million in sales annually.. that's my baby. Lol

That sign up link isn't working for me. Maybe cause I'm on mobile.

Same for me. I need to check it out on my laptop.

This piqued my interest and it has my curiosity. What advice can you give to a newcomer who has 0 experience? What do you exactly need to start up? Any good videos/reading material on this you'd recommend?

Sorry for the noob questions.

edit: found a better link

Is there a respected FBA course/walkthrough to get the basics down to get started?

There are a bunch. I can link you to some stuff when I ger home but honestly I personally have yet to spend a penny on a course just yet. Ive learned a TON on YouTube and FB groups. Theres a wealth of free info already out there.

So for Merch by Amazon, Id just start soaking up game.

RJ Martinez on Youtube has some easy-to-follow videos that are great. He started Merch literally 2 months ago and is doing $4k in profit. 2 months in!

Its a super scalable business. He has zero design background, he outsources all of the design work online lol

Im telling yall this is a great opportunity with essentially zero risk, start-up money needed.

Its all about finding niches and utilizing key words in your listings. Thats really it.

Soon as I get home I'll link you with specifics bro.

But nothing needed, other than getting an invite, an internet connection, and some inspiration.

Let me know if you're still having trouble with the new link posted brother

thanks for all the useful info bro repped :pimp:. I guess, I can say the challenging part for me is finding the niche. I wouldn't know where to start

This sounds real nice. Reminds me of spreadshirt.com

Used to use them few years ago. Upload a design, place it on one of their many products (shirts, sweat pants, hoodies, etc) and just post up the link to your store or the product and they'd produce everything for you and ship it out. You'd set your commission price and get that cut for every product or even make your design public and get a cut if somebody chooses your design  for their own products

You'd be surprised! Lol

You can do tons of legwork/research by simply running through searches in Amazon amd seeing whats selling. You can check other t-shirt sites to see what's poppin (tweaking designs, improving upon, etc), and to take it one step further you can look at google trends.

There is also a super dope tool called http://www.merchinformer.com

Check it out.

Theres a monthly fee to use the data, etc..

But I would start by reading the entries in their blog section. They've made that part free.

Once you start really digging into whats selling.. It's not the super designed, detailed stuff..

It's the nichey stuff. Holidays, phrases/font based designs, witty things.

This dude did $150k his first year doing Merch:

You think starting before the holiday rush is a good idea? With no reviews and not being able to have an idea of the amount of stock to order I wanted to launch in January-February

I really appreciate threads like this. Non selfish NT'ers trying to better our community, for those that want to jump in. For those already in this, would it good to partner up with someone to share the workload?

I know OhYouMad has a partner than covers him on the foreign connect side. Would it still be beneficial for someone to get a partner that wants to get into this, or just go it alone?

For Merch Im going at it alone until I scale it up, then I'll outsource some of the design work. Ill still solely own the account myself, so 100% of profits will be mine.

For Fullfillment By Amazon, if you're going to go the private label route you're gonna need a connect and you're gonna need capital. Unless you have a bunch of money to play with, this venture is probably best suited with the risk/investment spread out across more than one person. Plus more heads to handle the operational part of it all is obviously more ideal.

For some people the connect portion is as simple as alibaba.com

For people with little start up money you can still do FBA.

Check Reezyresells on youtube. Hes doing 6 figures selling used books. But you can sell just about anything. Its really all about building an inventory on Amazon. The more items you have in their warehouse the more daily sales youre going to have. Scale up by building that inventory. The items can be
......anything.

Link not working for me to sign up.
Someone please help.

Does this work?

https://merch.amazon.com/landing

Just click on the 'request invite' button on the right side.

If not just google it and you should get a good link brother
