U N S O L V E D mysteries

Stack's voice would creep me the hell out but I always watched. I used to have to remind myself he was Ultra Magnus to stop being shook

But this show's probably the reason I'm terrified about UFO's :smh:

Show light weight had me shook as a youngin.

I remember it used to be late night reruns when I was in JrHS and legit had to change the channel during some segments.

Man... This show was lit.

Im curious how many have been solved by now 30+ years later.

This show is GOAT still to this day and there will never be another show to match the pure fear it put in people about crime/extra terrestrial activity. I still can't watch that show at night by myself and I'm a grown *** man

A lot of those stories and cases were never solved. There's a big thread on NT about Unsolved Mysteries we all chimed in about the stories and eerieness on it.

I hated watching this show, but ended up watching it too.

I was always fascinated by the supernatural stories that they would tell.

IDK why, but I remember the story where a man was walking through a neighborhood on a hot day and asked a neighbor for water, when they came back, the man vanished lol.

I just googled 'Unsolved Mysteries' and already got spooked.

The story with the lady who stopped at a rest stop and a fake state trooper serial killer who stabbed her up like 20 times still scary. Think it was more to the story too

The "Rainboy" episode used to scare the **** out of me. This was the type of show that you knew would freak you out, but you still watched out of pure intrigue. Weird rush of fear.

Robert Stack didn't really scare me, but the music and dark and foggy a** sets he walked around in sure did.

Forensic Files was another one that freaked me out when I was younger. That narrator's voice
sick.gif

The episode where a man claimed he saw the devil appear floating in his bedroom....dude walked out speechless with a head full of white hair.

Their theme song always had me shook as a kid. Oh! Don't forget the tv show "Sightings" as well.

UM was on in my house all day everyday as a kid

dad was obsessed with it

Co-sign

Used to stay up at night as a kid and watch these reruns on Lifetime in the dark basement :smh:

FYI to everyone if it hasn't been mentioned yet the OG Robert Stack episodes are streaming free on Amazon Prime - many of them with new updates at the end.

Fact or Fiction had some good episodes as well.

Both themes used to scare me as a kid but I still watched.

Can't remember if it was UM or BBFF that had the episode about spontaneous human combustion.

Old lady just caught fire and only ashes were left.

Let's take a minute discuss the impact of this show. Everyone who is anyone who grew up in the late 80s and early 90s remember this show in some form or fashion. Even though it aired from 1988 - 2002, let's consider the era of the original theme music (1988 - 1993). In those five years, almost 25 years since it last aired on prime time, people still remember and are freaked out by it in 2017.

I remember it came on at 9pm and my brother would watch it. It was terrifying. I could handle the missing person and crime stories. Even the UFO stories did not bother me. But if there ever was a ghost story, forget about it. It was traumatizing.

I think the music was well done and the keyboard instruments of the time really brought out the creepy nature of the song. Very effective because it still makes me feel like I'll break into a panic when I hear it
