Im at work arguing about which sport is the hardest out of Football , Baseball and Basketball. * Edit * and Hockey ... sorry ...

I say Baseball because to me hitting a ball square coming that fast and moving takes a good amount of skill. Again thats my opinion.

Now we can go way left as it did here and include curling and archery etc

But try and keep it to the 3. What say u NT ?

Tough to compare sports when you factor the overall game in.

NBA if you think about it you can get into simply by God's hand giving you 7 feet of height and nothing else.
NFL you can get into if you are a semi-athletic 300+ lb O-lineman.
MLB you got no real easy in - maybe if you are a semi-used "gritty utility player."
NHL unless you are an enforcer (less and less of those) you got no real easy way in either.

But getting just to specific skill things I agree that successfully hitting a baseball possibly takes the most skill. If you fail 7 out of 10 times you are an All Star. Then again, getting a puck past an NHL goalie is even harder

only 2 professions in the world where you are considered highly successful if you are correct 1/3 of the time: baseball (hitters) and meteorologist (weatherman)

hitting a baseball thrown by a professional MLB player might be the toughest skill in any sport

Hockey and I don't even think it's close.

Not only the skill but the toughness required to play is next level, IMO.

Dudes out here playing w/ broken jaws and ****.

Basketball players sprain their pinky and need to be carried off by teammates.

Hockey

try skating back and forth for 3mins full speed some line shifts are even shorter but still tiresome on the lower body.

golf can be a real tough

of the "major" sports, it's hockey and baseball

Hitting a baseball is the hardest thing to do in sports.  That alone, makes my answer baseball.

added a poll and Soccer to the mix

I understand why you would have added a poll.  I do not understand why you added soccer.  Soccer is a.) not one of the big 4 and b.) has no business being in the conversation.

baseball. if u cant hit the ball u cant play, that simple and its VERY hard to hit a ball coming at u 90mph straight or curved or knuckled etc.

With that being said though its harder to become great at the other sports, meaning to be a top player in basketball or football u have to be genetically gifted or really work your *** off.
