I just found out that:

NFL teams must pick a black or white based shoe (ex Dolphins had players wearing wht/org, wht/nvy, blk/wht(spatted, Chris Chambers) and other than Black, White or Silver/grey, the team has to pick one accent color for their cleats.

For instance, we won't be seeing NYG with blue and red accented cleats, just red accented cleats, for the team picked that accent color this year.
No orange on DEN's cleats, No red on the Pats cleats, etc. (I think Trent Green's swoosh is black instead of Navy. Which would actually be lame.)

We also won't be seeing Merriman's cleats in that colorway in the 1st pic. It has Navy and yellow.
With all that navy on LDT's cleats, a yellow accent would have made them POP so much more.

Great pics!!! The upper echelon of Nike players get invited in to Nike to design their own cleats that never release . The cleats that aren't recognizable are most likely P.E.'s that were player created. A buddy of mine is on Nike and he is going to create his own cleats for next season.

NFL PE's suck nowadays. I've got two pairs of Eddie George 13's and they both just don't do it for me. They are smooth looking, but I miss the days of Moss 9's.

Its not really that the cleats are unreleased...but in most instances, they are wear tests for the athletes and some just don't do well in performance data, so they nix them.

There are a crap load of Cleats however that are designed for each position, and rarely make it to retail.

Yeah I thought Plaxico had the Vick 5's on when I was watching the game yesterday. I think those are all white VI's that Bly has.
Got my J's on 'cause they are real sneakers.

i'm pretty sure they are XIIIs that Dre Bly has on. he's been wearing them for a couple years.

Dre Bly had reverse VI's on the first page. I'm pretty sure those are VI's too. You can see the navy blue tab on the heel. I don't know, could be wrong.
