There Will Never EVER be anyone like Allen Iverson.

I blame Allen Iverson for players like Russel Westbrook and a whole bunch of College 6 foot PG's who idolized him who didn't make the league because they rather score than facilitate first.

I appreciated the hell out of the dude tho, he was tough as nails but god damn he was arrogant.

Here's a list of AI's most notable injuries by 2004, I know he had some more afterwards but this is the best list I could find...

Broken right thumb
Right elbow bursitis
Right shoulder dislocation
Tailbone contusion
Right quadriceps contusion
Right knee contusion
Sprained right big toe
Broken left big toe
Sprained left ankle
Inflamed left knee
Left hip pointer
Fractured left hand
Sprained left thumb
Left shoulder separation

My favorite story about A.I. trying to play through an injury is before a game in NY, the equipment manager hid his jersey to keep him from playing. He wasn't hearing that and tried to buy his own jersey from the NBA store to play.

AI was a great assist-man...when he had weapons to pass to (which was NEVER except during the All-Star games).  If I'm on Philly, with some of those bums he had to play with...I want AI to shoot the rock, not them.  And he still was averaging 6-8 assists

How I miss the AI philly days, shook MJ, 50 point games, the steals leading to fastbreaks, carrying the whole team, NBA MVP, All star Game MVP, daymm.. Only the strong survives but allen ain't one of them, good thing he had his days.

^ Done brought up my guy. Stevie Franchise had that Sykk game. Silky smooth handles, crazy explosiveness, nastiest dunker at the PG position :smokin

I think allen iverson pave the way for combo guards. Nowadays you see a lot of them such has jamal crawford, lou williams, jordan crawford just to name a few. However most of them are not at Allen iverson level by comparison.

I have a lot of respect for Ai's skill but his skill. If only he knew how to play like a team player.

Then again his team suck anyways.

Little man with a big heart. I thought he was going to dismantle us by himself in the 2001 Finals. Iverson was Isiah Thomas 2.0.

As a 76ers fan and growing up in the philly area,  I was glad I got to witness and watch AI play most of his career here. Even had partial season tickets just to watch AI in his prime.  Ashame how he fell off the earth and can't get a gig in the NBA anymore,  but there's still players like Marcus Camby,  Kurt Thomas, Jerry Stackhouse, (the list goes on and on) still in this league.   Ever since he left the 76ers organization it hasn't been the same quite honestly.  The buzz in this town is at its all time low.  Allen Iverson definately had this town rocking for the 10 years he was with us.   Toughest little man in the NBA hands down

PRACTICE? We talkin bout PRACTICE!?! Greatest on and off the court. Yes I'm a 76er fan yes I love A I, I think ill like Allen Iverson , and BriAn Dawkins forever

AI, inspired so many young dudes out here

the team he took to the finals was

if the organization only put pieces around him but instead he was forced to sacrifice his body to win games

He was never a hog, there just wasn't anyone on the team that could be trusted with the ball
