Converse Jack Purcell

what will break more necks? and is cooler?

i want to know if you wear those black ones will any1 notice the difference from the plain black ones?

because if im dropping 70$ for a pair of purcells i want it to stand out not blend in with the 40$ ones
 
so do i size up or size down?

lets say i wear a 9.5 in Nike what would that be in Purcells
 
I think the patent leather is pretty noticeable unless you wear a boot cut jeans that covers them all together. The subtle patent leather by the toe, thepatent line following the midsole and the leather uppers makes a difference or at least enough to distiguish it from the black canvas. I also have the blackcanvas and I just prefer the leather ones much better. I feel it is more stable and comfortable.
 
these are going FAST on karmaloop. almost all of the good sizes are gone
 
donjuan, where do you get your jacks? I cannot find those plaid ones anywhere but I think I'm in love. I thought I would never buy a plaid shoe but I needthese immediately. Wouldn't mind finding the red ones for a good price either.
 
Jacks don't fit like Chucks!!! I'm a size 10 in dunks & air forces. But I'm a size 9.5 in Jacks....and a size 9 in Chucks. Chucks are cuthuge....Jacks are a lil' big but come with thick insoles.

It's a patchwork pattern and can be found in the clearance section at J. Crew for cheap. I tried them on months ago at the J. Crew on the northside in Chicago and I think they're still sitting there with the 19.99 sticker (plus 25% off clearance), along with the camo ones. Personally, I thinkthey look terrible.

White Leather Purcells are the only ones I like...
 
I like some of the two-tone and plaid jacks. Outside of JCrew, anyone know of a place to get cheap Jacks.
 
Anyone know where you can find a good deal on the Black Patent Leather JP's? I'm looking for an extra pair in 13's. I've seen them online atMacy's for $80 but I got mine for $40 on sale and was hoping to score that good of a deal again. I know I'm wishin'.

They've got a bunch of nice Purcells and Chuck Taylors here.
 
I've got a pair of the patchwork JP size 11. I thought they fit a size larger like Chucks but they're too small.

Bloomingdale's has limited sizes for super cheap right now.
I was able to get 2 pairs of the black patents in my cart .. hopefully they go through. Total = $80.
