Official HDTV and HD Thread! Vol: 1080p > 720p > 1080i > 480p > 480i

dont want to make a new thread so my question is should i get a 19-32 inch tv as a main monitor n tv from my bed????? looking more towards 19 inch -24 inch since i might use it as a primarily as a monitor...

DO NOT GET A TV AS YOUR COMPUTER MONITOR.

Seriously, you'll regret it. If you can afford it and have a dual DVI output for your computer, jump on this:

http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=11401&cs_id=1130704&p_id=9579&seq=1&format=2

Or you can jump on this if you don't have the DVI output:

http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...11307&cs_id=1130703&p_id=10489&seq=1&format=2

Was about to cop a 42 inch 1080 Insignia for the PS3 in my bedroom today.....but I wasn't sure about the brand and if I should just drop an extra $200 for a Samsung.

51 inch plasma samsung in the living room and 32 inch led for the bedroom. All mounted everything, wtf is a stand.

How do I go about mounting a tv in a bedroom?

Should I mount the tv or just buy a tv stand?

If I mount said tv on a wall mount, is it highly unlikely that the tv would fall off?

What are your thoughts on this wall mount?

Amazon product ASIN B0012S4APK

if your wall mount unit is installed properly. The t.v should not fall off the wall.

How do I know if it's installed "properly?"

My boss has a wall mount at work.

I saw that he screwed in the wall mount.

Is it absolutely necessary to screw in a wall mount?

If so, which tools do I need to get this done?

Lastly, what are some negatives to having a wall mount?

I just want more space, which is why I'm interested in getting a wall mount.

I got a few questions. Calling all HDTV experts here. I'm in the market for a 50inch this BF and I was wondering which ones out there are the best for their price range. Right now I'm looking at Samsung's UN50F6350AF. It's decent picture quality and has the Smart TV enabled which is a plus. I don't really care about smart tv but it's a cool feature to have and I'm not complaining. The ones that are usually on major discount during BF suffer in picture quality so my question to you guys is, which 50inch out there is the best when looking at Samsung, LG, and Panasonic. Those are the brands I prefer.

From what I've read, Panasonic plasmas have the best quality.

Samsung is 2nd, then lg.
I'm actually looking at the brands that you.

Look into vizio, their TVs are cheaper than most of the competition, thin, and reliable.
We have a 55in vizio in the living room and I think it's Awsome!

Also consider a warranty, whether it be in-store or square trade.

Just bought the Samsung F7500 in the 60'' variation. A pretty penny but hopefully it's worth it.

7500 is nice, nano dimming makes the black level look great. Have fun with the voice controls. The gesture controls aren't too useful though.

Thanks for the link. Haven't looked into Vizio that much but how long have you had yours?

Thanks. :pimp:

I just wanted a really good TV. Don't really care for the gesture controls, 3D, etc.

Just about to move into a new place so I needed something to watch my sports in HD and stunt with in the living room.

If you're getting a Panny plasma you better act fast. They've just announced they're not making plasmas anymore.

So I narrowed it down to 3 Panasonics and 1 samsung. Which ever one comes down first will be had. Looked at the plasma's and a few reviews that had burning issues after a few years. Not about that life even if the picture quality is great. I don't want to be replacing the tv in a few years because of burn spots.

Edit: Just realized the ST60 is a plasma.

Panasonic

TC-P50ST60

TC-L50E60

TC-50LE64

Samsung

Get the ST60 man, Plasmas >LED

It's almost impossible to get a permanent burn-in on Plasmas nowadays. One of my panny plasmas thats around 3 years old now has slight issues with image persistence, but that goes away pretty fast. And i will take that over the soap opera effect on LEDs anyday :x
