im 27. havent been "collecting" too long, i dont remember my first pair as a kid. I couldnt have many back then so I kinda lost interest and only gotinto it a year ago. About 40 pairs now.

i started last year when the aqua 8's came out. i've always been a fan since i was first introduced to jordans(space jams... i had em as a kid and beentrying to get my hands on a pair forever now) but now that i can buy shoes for myself now i cop what i like when i can. my parents won't buy me thembecause they cost to much. i'm up to 5 pairs of sigs and 1 pair of spizikes. next cop will hopefully be the vi/xvi cdp.

30, first jordans 1990's (black 5's), didn't start collecting till 1994, 122 pairs

im 16 right now.
i started with the green bean 5.
and i'm toppin about 40 pairs with every number but 12 16 18 and 11 (cuz low 11's suck (which i have))

21 years old.
Started wearing Jordans about the age 7
Fell in love with Jordan/Nike at the age 10 5th grade
Start collecting around 2002 low top white 9 to start I believe!

26. Been wearing these shoes since they had NIKEAIR on the back and Mike was winning his first ring.

1'm 25 years young with 92 pairs of Jordans (Jesus Christ how did this happen??)... My first pair of Jordans were original Black/Red Air Jordan 14's. Ididn't start buying in bulk until I got a gig at a sneaker store in '04.

So basically between 1998 and 2004 the only Jordans I owned were Black 15's, Black/Cement & True Blue 3's, Black lowtop 6's, patent leatherCaro 1's, White/Zen XI lows and Nubuck 12's.

I don't consider myself a collector. I just own a s*$t-load of sneakers and I wear all of them. The ones I don't wear are because I have more than onepair to wear further down the road since I don't plan on buying sneakers like this for much longer. Honestly, if the 23's and countdown packagesdidn't release, my Jordan purchases would strictly be older retros. So after this year I hope to be done buying shoes (minus a new foamposite release or aWhite/Sport Blue VI retro lol).

Im 17 years old.... i got 21 pairs of jordans, i started with flint 12's back in 03... good times.

now 27 been in the game since 1996 when i started buying my own jordans with my job . but before that my parents use to buy them for me. My 1st pair were the8s and i got the others every year after that

i did get to watch jordan play , i am a huge fan of the bulls and of MJ.i used watch all there games and it was hard to keep up with them since i lived in NYC, the only time i could watch them were on NBC,TNT, and when they play vs the knicks

I'm 28 and collecting harder than ever.

The older I get = More $ = More Jays.

. Spent 2G's on Jays so farthis year and it's only June.

well I've been collecting since 99-00 but I've been rockin jays since I was little. I have more than 200 pairs in my shoe room all jays 15 maybe nikeproducts!!

29. Collecting since 96. 203 pairs no including packs. In total over 600 in the 12 years but sold massive chunk due to wedding and house purchase but I'llget there again. Prolly 90 of my 203 are J's.

LMAO

wow

i mean come on now

you was 9

what was you SERIOUSLY collecting WITH.

i mean even ya lunch money saved for a whole year can barely get you a jordan......IMHO you can't be 'a serious' collector (as cliche a term that is) unless you spending your own money.
ever heard of a job? just because a kids 9 doesnt mean he cant get a job....i worked with my uncle at his car shop and helped him out...i didnt know much but what i could do i did it and helped him out...with that money i earned i saved up and bought my own shoes...WOW huh
eek.gif

LOL @ you puttin in 3 hours a week and getting a pair of Jordans. Save your ducktales for webbley. What could you even do at 9 physically lol
dude first off you dont even know me so who are you to say i couldnt do nothing at 9? i changed tires, washed cars etc...and 3 hours? more like 8 during the summer...i was able to get my jordans by hard work..and i learned that when i was 9.. its not my fault that when you were 9 you were barely learning how to walk....

this whole discussion is counterproductive so i won't even continue it. But it is impossible for a NINE YEAR OLD who CANT DRIVE and CANT even have money outside of a shoebox, be a 'serious collector'

that is all.

im not saying youre lying...but that is pretty hard to believe...Anyway, Ive been buying jordans on and off since 99'...
yeah i getcha but as a little kid i was taught that you never get everything just by asking for it...you have ot work hard...and thats what i did

and sorry eveyrone about this and me ruining this thread with all this nonsence

That was awesome. I am 19 and have worn Jordan's since I can remember. I got a job at 16. That's when I started really getting in the collectiongame. I am up past the 200 marker in total shoes and I have paid for all of mine. I wish I had a job at nine and was smart enough to collect my pre-school andgrade-school Jordan's. Seriously that is sad that a kid would really take the time to do that I just played outside all the time in my s@#% back then.Don't know about the rest of y'all.

im 22...been wearing since 1997...and been collecting since 2000..got a job when i was in 8th grade at a golf course...im probably going to stop after thisyear...i turn 23 on june 26 and plan on making 23 my last year of buying jordans......but...who knows... i bought the 6/17 cdp and hoping to get the 3/20cdp...if i ever stop wearing i wont stop collecting...cuz i just love the look of them way too much...i say fk everyone else...i wear what i want...it all justdepends on how you rock the shoes...

Started Idea Of Collecting With Retro Bred XIV (14 Years Old) [2005]

Now I'm At 25 Pairs

29--Not to knock any body else, but it seems like a common factor is that the younger "collectors" are more into quantity. I just buy the J'sthat take me back to '92 or '97 or whatever. I actually lived through and was a part of the 'real' Jordan era so I can pass on XIII or IX or XVretroes. I'm old enough to remember why i didn't like them when they first came out. I think its cool how the younger kids will actually have theirshoes preserved for the future. Dont some of you old mufu's wish you were that smart 10-15-20 yrs ago? We wouldn't be spending like idiots on ebay

Im 24 years old. Been at it since my brother in law started working for Nike DC back in '96. I have around 190 pairs. Unlike some people I actually wearmine so people can see the heat I have. One pair that i cant wear is a pair of DS Jordan VI Infrareds. My bro hooked me up with a pair last year and I donteven wanna try to put them on.

im 15, i seriously started collecting at the age of 4. bought all my shoes by myself. now i flip lambos and ferraris and i cant even drive!

, all this fighting...but in all seriousness....this reminded meof back in the day when people argued and had "shoe battles," and the community would vote on the winner (usually a pretty decisive winner) thiscould be the old vs the young, an epic battle haha. LETS DO IT@!!!!!
