Converting Sneakers to Golf cleats

I'm looking into converting a pair of my sneakers into golf cleats.  i've looked around the web and all i've found is this one place called customcleats that does it.  does anyone have any experience in converting sneakers to cleats and are you willing to lend me some tips on how i should go about doing this?

also interested in this. checked out the site but i'm not sure about their technique.. glue on pods? ehh.

also noticed someone used fake space jams for cleats...lol

yea lol saw that too.  if you go to the purchase tab they have a bunch of fake 11's that you can buy from them and have the cleats added.  

but about the pods being glued that's what it looks like they are doing.  a little skeptical also.  ive been tryin to look around for just the pods to buy but havent found anything.  would much rather buy the pods and try to attach them myself than paying somebody else to try and do it for me.

I've see some Nike golf shoes that kind of look like af1s might just go that route. But my pair of footjoys are way too comfy.
