Going to my first Dj set... What to expect?

What up, 
like the title says, I'm going to my first DJ set. Seeing Steve Aoki tonight. I've been to spice girls (smh), jay z, rihanna, akon, gwen stefani in my life, as well as numerous rock concerts. What should I expect? I'm a little hesitant to spend 45 to go watch a DJ essentially play a pre-recorded track that I could easily play at home. Could someone set me straight and give me an idea of what i'm going to see, experience, etc?
