Question about Paypal

I found a textbook for $75 on Craiglist. The person is from out of state and offers free shipping, she said she only accepts money via paypal. Sound Legit? And how do I go about this so if she doesn't send the book I can recoup my money, someone one time mentioned something about sending the money as a gift doesn't allow to recoup if something happens.

Most people outside of forums don't ask for gift payments. Use a cc as a funding source.

paypal leans ALL the way towards the buyer...so pay with a credit card...make sure they are verified and your protected

Were you searching on an out of state craigslist site? If not its kinda weird the person posted it in your area and is out of state, but paypal is usually good on the buyers side. Just make sure you don't send as gift and that you use a credit card. Try to get some contact info as well
