Pee-Wee Herman was a formative piece of my developing sense of humor as a kid, along with Conan, Letterman, Space Ghost, and a few others. Dude made it 70 and made a lot of people smile and laugh.

I knew there would be some remembrances of his f ups. I had a feeling some of his f'd up 
would be referenced or brought up. 
I still remember that indecent exposure incident he had in a porn theater in Florida back in 1991. I never realized what it stemmed from until my friend clarified it to me back in the early 2000s. I always assumed he jumped up on a stage and exposed himself to the audience in that theater.
I recall he wasn't active in movies and TV throughout a bulk of the '90s after that incident. It really took him years to have a career resurgence.
I don't think he was a bad person based on his transgressions because I think he just lacked self-awareness to realize the things he engaged in or liked aren't acceptable in society. I would just say his mentality with particular issues were flawed or somewhat warped.
