It's evident how much time and effort Edmond and Ronda are spending on improving her one real weakness, striking. Rousey's gotten better in that department, but "sloppy" isn't an unfair asssessment the way Ronda came out against Bethe. Very loose, reckless striking defense with hands down and chin out/exposed. Rousey was lucky to not get clipped. I fully understand her plan was to apply pressure and end the fight quickly because of Bethe's suicide comments and the whole "don't cry." There's ways to be aggressive but smart. Luckily for Ronda, Holm is a volume boxer/puncher, somewhat like Nick Diaz on the men's side. Holm has tremendous technique and kickboxing experience, but her damage is by sheer volume and not by one-punch KO power.smh at this hate on RR's technique
I appreciate Joanna's crisp striking as much as the next MMA fan, but I can't help but feel she's holding the belt for Claudinha. Their first fight in December '14 is to date the best bout in short-lived strawweight history. One could argue Claudinha took the two rounds necessary to secure a decision against Joanna, and now she wants to fight Joanna even if she loses to Letourneau. Complete joke Letourneau is receiving the title shot after Claudinha was promised. 4-fight win streak, I get it, but not one of those wins is close to a victory over Jessica Aguilar.I like Joanna but Straw Weight is looking suspect too.
