These two should retire. Old and slow. Lol
this **** is terrible
I'm pissed at myself for watching this Bonnar/Tito fight. Its just like that Stallone & De Niro movie about two old boxers fighting. Terrible.
"Ducked" is the wrong word, even if you believe D.C. is practicing misplaced AKA loyalty. Team Alpha Male essentially did the same with Faber and Mendes, and now Dillashaw in the fold. Allegiance to your training camp.I don't think Werdum has a good chance against Cain. After the mauling of Cigano TWICE, I'm like the only real threat in the division was Cormier and he was on some friendship ish and ducked to LHW. I will say he did have beef with JBJ.
HW is pretty shallow. Probably the most shallow next to the women's division. I'm not discrediting the champions as they're both amazing. It's just the gap between them and their competition is semi wide.

You're absolutely right about the shallow HW division. Dana has a problem on his hands after Cain faces Werdum. Does "Cigano" deserve a fourth fight just for beating Stipe? Browne just lost to Werdum, as did Hunt. Does Browne deserve a crack for beating Schaub? Arlovski only has 2 wins since rejoining the UFC.Agreed. Rashad/JBJ initially. Jacare/Machida/Anderson.
You can see the possibility of Faber/Dillashaw because of the strain between Faber and Ludwig. But now that Cruz is back, it kind of puts that on the back burner. Of course, Barao is still around too.
And Duck is the wrong word. He stepped to the side and switched divisions. The UFC was going to eventually grant him a title shot due to the shallowness of the division. C'mon, Silva/Velazquez twice.
That's the dilemma. Give the fans a fourth installment because JDS is perhaps most-deserving, or provide the viewers something new although someone like Browne may not be worthy just yet. Please, no more Cain/Cigano. Three times is enough.
Barnett could be groomed into a contender despite his loss to Brown. And Brown only lost to Werdum. Maybe if he were to mount a 2-3 win streak. That would place him like 8 or 9-1 in the UFC.
Seriously, DC moving down really hurt the division. And it obviously delayed the rematch we DO want to see.
It sucks to say it but the best thing that could happen for the HW division would be for Cain to be out longer than expected with his injury, missing Dana's March deadline and stripped of the belt. Then you'll have a lot of guys that would actually be contenders for the belt and have a chance at winning. But as long as Cain is champ and healthy, no one really has a chance.Originally Posted by spiderjericho

Man, I was shocked Werdum's standup improved enough to work Browne with his striking. Even taunting him. Changing levels, breaking ribs, all that.
