THIS....dude can't be that dumb tho.lel
RIP Jones
u know how much his opponents make? not even a tenth of what he's making. and he fights twice a year, while ufc is putting on 3-4 events a month with 10-15 fights each so paying 20-30 fighters every week or other weekAnd Mayweather is making $100 million a fight
Khabib wants a fight in May or JuneSincerity is not Jones' strong suit
Good win though. I enjoyed the fight. DC did some good things. No gas after a while though.
Cerrone picking them off one by one.
RDA gets his shot at Pettis in March.
Is Khabib cleared? What's his timeline?
but this is basically what everyone says every time someone is talking about the next guy Jones is going to fight...........Cain would eat his lunch, so would Does Santos and Werdum
Mayweather is an anomaly, but for a top guy in the UFC like jones is, he's getting peanuts.u know how much his opponents make? not even a tenth of what he's making. and he fights twice a year, while ufc is putting on 3-4 events a month with 10-15 fights each so paying 20-30 fighters every week or other weekAnd Mayweather is making $100 million a fight
not to mention its his company that has to sink the millions and millions into promoting, not like he gets paid by another company. Mayweather is an anomaly, not fair to compare him to any fighter or athlete in any sport

Anyway. Decently entertaining fight tonight. Jones always beating people at their own games. more takedowns than DC tonight. That's gotta hurt DC's heart

Dana said they expected 750k ppv buys. Imagine all the money UFC is taking home
Why don't people get so bent out of shape over that? But when the nfl or nba make money, the players feel entitled to getting paid more and fans argue that they should
Hahahaha just watched that hot mic with jones And DC again...they seriously hate eachother
When are we gunna see mcgregor/Aldo and cerrone/pettis these fights would make 2015
"Cigano" is my favorite heavyweight, but the version of JDS I saw against Struve has me worried. Against Cain in a fourth fight, or even a "Bones" matchup. Getting hit clean off the break, dropping his hands and turning away from his opponent. Instead of crisp boxing and combinations, looking for a single hay-maker. Plus, if JBJ was able to take down arguably the best wrestler in MMA (DC). There's no telling what Jones would do to Junior, following the Cain ground and pound strategy.Cain would eat his lunch, so would Does Santos and Werdum
Not to mention his reputation for making his fighters inherit a safer, decision-based approach. In many cases.I hate Greg Jackson...dude is such a smug douche
I'll never forget Dana telling the media "Cowboy" wanted to fight after like a 6-day layoff in Baltimore for 172. As a late replacement for Joe Ellenberger. What he did to Jury was appreciated, on behalf of Diego. Humbled the young "prodigy" real quick. Although Jury did well to fend off the armbar against the clock, as well as the moderately deep RNC attempt.Khabib wants a fight in May or June
Cowboy wants to fight in Denver in FEB
Cowboy will get destroyed again by Pettis (again) or RDA (again) and Bendo (again) if they ever fought and Khabib will take his lunch
It'll be tough finding anyone to match up with Cowboy outside of Khabib. Unless they want to pick a guy coming off a loss (Bobby Green or Nate Diaz would be NICE matchups). Maybe Cowboy could get revenge on Diaz for the *** whooping he got
Even with Cowboy getting destroyed a bunch of times, still, Cowboy love how he's always down to fight
RDA is next in line for "Showtime," and we're hard-pressed to believe Cerrone would jump Khabib even after that. Why? Pettis crushed "Cowboy" with a vicious body kick and dispatched of him quite easily. Of course things are different now with Cerrone riding a 6-fight win streak against top-tier competition.Hahahaha just watched that hot mic with jones And DC again...they seriously hate eachother

I worry less about Cain's power, and more about his work-rate. Accumulation of ground and pound, if he does indeed put JBJ on his back. Velasquez beat up "Cigano" twice, not from one punch power but from constantly grinding.I wouldn't even favor Cain over Bones if they fought.
bones skill set is unmatched and his chin is phenomenal.
If he moved up an had a tune up fight I think he could withstand cain's power.
Alvarez is scheduled to fight Benson Henderson on the McGregor cardI like that
Melendez vs Alvarez
Strikeforce vs Bellator
I scored R2 for Cerrone. I appreciate Jury's footwork and unconventional movement, and "Cowboy" wasn't throwing as many kicks in fear of a takedown per Greg Jackson.I actually thought Jury had Cowboy a little off his standup game. Outside of that head kick in the third round, for me I had it 1-1. It was anyone's fight IMO with 3 minutes left in the third round
Cowboy was disgusted with his performance
Cowboy has trouble with guys who he doesn't have a reach advantage over. Diaz, Pettis, RDA, Benson.. He gets his lunch taken
Jury has the same reach as Cowboy and his movement (probably heavily influenced by Alliance camp-- Dom Cruz) seemed to frustrate Cowboy
Barboza was dominating Cowboy IMO before Cowboy snuck in that jab that changed everything. Barboza has a reach advantage over Cowboy
Proof is in the pudding
Depending on Eddie's result against "Bendo" in Boston, Alvarez could realistically fight Gil by May approximately. Considering Melendez only fought a month ago, and doesn't have a concrete opponent as far as I know. May 23rd perhaps, depending on the location of UFC 187. Ideally California, geographically for Gil and his fan base.I like that
Melendez vs Alvarez
Strikeforce vs Bellator
Definitely a fair viewpoint. When discussing the GOAT I mean you can't really go wrong IMOUntil bones starts knockin fools out or dragon sleeping them like he did machida Silva will always be the goat to me.
I dont think a main event moment can surpass "the front kick" and rogan losing his mind. Idc what happened to him when he was old fat n slow
Again, if JBJ beats Gustafsson convincingly in a rematch. I'm talking 4 rounds to one, with his patented spinning back kicks, elbows and knees in the clinch, side kicks, etc. Then moves up to heavyweight for a debut fight, and beats Cain next. Jones would cement himself as the UFC/MMA G.O.A.T. with "Spider," and GSP further down taking a backseat.Until bones starts knockin fools out or dragon sleeping them like he did machida Silva will always be the goat to me.

I always feel GSP is unappreciated in the G.O.A.T. discussion. Completely get his style is often deemed boring, overly safe. Product of the Serra TKO. But from a technical standpoint, love his jab and MMA wrestling. You can see a lot of the Tristar influence in Rory's jab and fighting style. Hindsight is 20/20, but MacDonald may have not taken that first loss to Condit had he fought more defensively to close the third round. "Rory Mac" had "NBK" dead to rights for the majority of two and a half rounds.Definitely a fair viewpoint. When discussing the GOAT I mean you can't really go wrong IMO
The way I see it, Jones' resume may get the edge over Spider's. Jones isn't a knockout artist by any means though. His skill set is beautiful second to only Spider for me
JBJ passed Tito after the controversial "Gus" fight in Toronto. I believe he's now at 8 consecutive LHW title defenses. That first Cowboy/Showtime fight was rough. The way Cowboy buckled from that kick.
I don't see the point of JBJ moving to heavy weight except for more props. Besides the Velazquez fight, there isn't really any compelling matchups. LHW just seems more competitive. Sad to hear DC lost. I wanted him to win. Going into the fight, I had JBJ. At the moment, I'd say he's the greatest champion in UFC history based on the quality of opponents he's beaten (D.C., Texeira, Gustafson, Belfort, Sonnen, Evans, Rampage and Machida).
I can't remember but Jones passed Ortiz for most title defenses at LHW?
Can't wait to see who his next opponent will be. He's supposed to be moving to New Mexico where he'll be more dedicated to his craft.
